And yes, my people, today we'll visit two cities—yes, two, but you'll see why. Here we go. The first city on our journey is Petalia City, where the normal-type gym run by our father is located. But knowing that we're newbies, he instead sends us to our second rival (because in this version we'll have two rivals). He performs the traditional initiation, teaching us how to capture Pokémon. After returning to the gym, our father urges us to explore the region in search of stronger trainers, and that's what we do.
Continuing along the route, we come across Petalia Forest. Here, we encounter for the first time one of the greatest challenges of this game: Team Water. They were trying to extort this tech company employee to obtain a very special item. After saving him, he tells us he's waiting for us in Iron City. We'll see where our good deeds take us. This is the typical place where we find a lot of Bug-type Pokémon, and of course, we get a couple.
Something I like about this version is that, since it's the 3rd generation, the mechanics are clearer, so we find more diversity in Pokémon on the first routes, as well as berries. The latter, along with the planting dynamic, combines the best aspects of previous versions. Leaving the forest, we arrive at this flower shop where we are given this watering can, so iconic in 2nd generation and which would help us grow berries faster.
After crossing the forest and facing off against every trainer we encounter along the way, we finally arrive at Iron City. In one of the first houses, and without much hassle, we are given the move "Cut," which was one of the most difficult to obtain in previous generations, warning us that this game would take a different direction. And for those who know, you'll already know what I mean.
We immediately went to the Gym, which simulated a maze and also had another peculiarity: here we can find a double battle for the first time inside a Gym. So we face these trainers using our fire-fighting chick (Torchic, haha) and the pre-evolution Lombre. This is how we get the Iron City badge at the end of the second Chapter, yes, after visiting two Gyms and two cities.

Version en Español: El primer gym o eso creíamos Capitulo #2 Pokemon Esmeralda (En-Es)
Y si mi gente hoy visitaremos dos ciudades, si dos pero ya verán la razón. Ahí vamos les cuento.
La primera ciudad en nuestro caminos es ciudad Petalia donde se encuentra el gym de tipo normal dirigido por nuestro padre. Pero este sabiendo que somos muy novatos, en su lugar nos envía junto a nuestro segundo rival (porque si en esta versión tendremos dos rivales) este hace la tradicional iniciación de "enseñarnos" a capturar Pokemon. Tras volver al gimnasio nuestro padre nos exhorta ha recorrer la región en busca de entrenadores más fuertes y eso hacemos.
Siguiendo la ruta nos encontramos con el bosque Petalia aquí nos encontramos por primera vez a uno de los grandes retos de este juego, el Team Agua. Quienes intentaban extorsionar a este empleado de una compañía tecnológica para conseguir un objeto muy especial. Tras salvarlo nos comenta que nos espera en ciudad férrea. Ya veremos a donde nos llevan nuestras buenas acciones. Este es el tipico sitio donde encontramos muchos Pokes tipo insecto y claro nos hacemos con un par.
Algo que me gusta de esta versión es que ya al ser la 3ra generación están más claras la mecánicas qué funcionan, así encontramos más diversidad de Pokemon en las primeras rutas y también bayas. Estas últimas con la dinámica de la siembra, sumando así lo mejor de versiones anteriores. Al salir del bosque llegamos a esta floristería donde nos regalan esta regadera, tan iconica en 2da gen y que aquí nos serviría para que las bayas crecieran más rápido.
Luego de cruzar el pinte y enfrentarnos a cuanto entrenador se nos cruzará en el camino finalmente llegamos a ciudad Férrea. En una de las primeras casas y sin mucho lío nos regalan el movimiento corte, el que fuera de los más difíciles de obtener en anteriores generaciones, avisandonos que este juego iría por otra vertiente. Y para los que saben ya imaginarán a lo que me refiero.
De una fuimos al Gym este simulaba un laberinto y también tenía otra particularidad, aquí podemos encontrar por primera vez una batalla doble en la primera vez dentro de un gimnasio. Así nos enfrentamos estos entrenadores usando a nuestro pollito peleador de fuego (Torchic jajaja) y a la preevolucion de Lombre. Así nos hacemos con la medalla de ciudad Férrea cenerando el segunda Capitulo si, luego de conocer dos Gym y dos ciudades.
En el próximo capitulo creo que nos tocará atravesar medio mundo pero bueno, eso será cosa del capítulo #3, ¿están listo?
