And so, my people, today we begin a new adventure. We'd already explored the first and third generations, now it was time to go back to the second and delve into the mysteries and curiosities of Johto, my favorite region and Pokemon generation. But you might wonder why we decided to leave it until now. And the answer is that both the first and second generations had games on the GBA, but since the second generation is only one gem away, it was somewhat forgotten. I wanted to remain faithful to the GBA, which would have meant opting to play their remakes, Heart Gold and Soul Silver, which, for many, are the best Pokemon ever made. But I found a solution: Pokemon Liquid Crystal. This is a Pokemon ROM hack that emulates the second-generation map and story, but with the built-in life improvements of modern games in the series. Indeed, a dream come true for gamers.
And so, after this hyper-summary, our story begins like this. We woke up in our room and from here we could see a very good visual, with graphics superior to those of the classic GBA games. After leaving, we found our mother in the living room, who urged us to live our own Pokémon adventure and sent us to the professor. Upon stepping outside, we saw this look even more polished than we had expected, blending nostalgia and modernity. Outside the professor's lab, we encountered a suspicious boy looking out a window. What intentions could he have?
Upon speaking to the professor, he gave us a mission to find an errand near the city. To protect ourselves, he gave us a choice between the three starters. We had already chosen the Grass Pokémon in the first generation, and the Fire Pokémon in the second. So, this time, we'd go for the Water Pokémon and my favorite starter, Totodile. Now with our new companion, we set off.
From the moment we enter the tall grass, we notice another graphical leap. The visuals are the same as in Generation 5, which is crazy. Another aspect we can notice is that attacks are now divided into physical and special damage. Something that was sorely missed in previous generations. In the tall grass, we can also find a wide variety of Pokémon, combining new species with top-notch Pokémon. Now we can really catch them all. Berries have also been introduced for the first time this generation, something we already knew. And to top it all off, one of the greatest mechanics in this version is that it works during day and night. What more could you ask for?
The first place we arrive at is Cherry City. Here, a very kind old man offers to show us the city and the different routes it comprises, hinting at a sea route that will take us a while to navigate but is already a real temptation. And so far for today's chapter. We've made little progress, but there was still plenty to discuss. Bienvenidos a Johto Pokemon Liquid Crystal Capitulo #1
Y pues si mi gente hoy iniciamos una nueva aventura. Ya habíamos recorrido primera y tercera generación, ahora nos tocaba retroceder hasta la segunda y si sumergirnos en los misterios y curiosidades de Johto, mi región y generación Pokemon favorita. Pero se preguntaran como siendo así decidimos dejarlo hasta ahora. Y la respuesta es que tanto primera como segunda tuvieron juegos en GBA pero como segunda estando a tan solo una gem se quedo un poco en el olvido. Quería seguir fiel a los GBA, cosa que podría a ver optado por jugar sus remakes Heart Gold Y Soul Silver, que si para muchos son lo mejor que ha hecho Pokemon jamás. Pero encontré una solución, Pokemon Liquid Cristal. Este es un ROM Hack de Pokemon que emula el mapa y la historia de segunda generación, pero con las mejoras de vida incorporada de juegos modernos de la saga. En efecto, todo un sueño para los jugadores
Y bueno despues de este hiperresumrn nuestra historia inicia así. Despertamos en nuestro cuarto y ya desde aquí podemos ver una visualidad muy buena, con gráficos superiores a los juegos clásicos de GBA. Luego de salir encontramos a nuestra madre en la sala quien nos exhorta ha vivir nuestra propia aventura Pokemon y nos envía donde el profesor. Al salir al exterior vemos este aspecto incluso mejor trabajado de lo que habíamos apreciado, mezclando nostalgia y modernidad. Fuera del laboratorio del profesor nos encontramos un chico sospechoso mirando por una ventana, qué intenciones tendrá...
Al hablar con el profesor este nos encomienda la misión de buscar un encargo en un sitio cercano a la ciudad. Para protegernos nos da a elegir entre los tres iniciales, ya habíamos elegido el Pokemon planta en la primera generación, el fuego en la segunda, así que en esta iríamos a por el Pokemon tipo Agua y mi inicial favorito Totodile. Ya con nuestro nuevo compañero nos ponemos en marcha.
Desde que entramos en la hierba alta se nota otro salto grafico, siendo la visualidad de estos la misma que la de 5 generación, una locura, otro aspecto que podemos notar es que ya acá los ataques están divididos por daño físico y especial. Cosa que se echaba muy en falta en anteriores generaciones. En la hierva alta también podemos encontrar mucha diversidad Pokemon, juntando nuevas especies con Pokes de primera. Ahora si que podremos atraparlos a todos. También por primera vez en esta generación se introdujeron las bayas cosa que ya conocíamos y para rematar en esta versión una de las mayores mecánicas es que se hace de día y de noche. Que más se puede pedir.
Al primer sitio qué llegamos es ciudad Cerezo acá un anciano muy amable se ofrece a mostrarnos la ciudad y distintas rutas qué la componen, incinuando una ruta marina que nos costra un tiempo atravesar pero que es toda una tentación desde ya. Y hasta aquí el capítulo del hoy, hemos avanzado poco, pero había demasiado por comentar, si ya te jugaste estos juegos deja alguna recomendación en camentarios, los estaré leyendo.
