Relato participante en el Reto Hispaliterario 2 Abejas Somos Todos🌹
No era una mañana normal. Aunque estaban juntas, se percibía un ambiente tenso, de tristeza e inconformidad. ¡Eran categóricos zumbidos de protesta!
—¡No es justo! —exclamó una de ellas.
Hemos perdido enjambres enteros,después que vinieron los agricultores a regar los campos —hizo una pausa y añadió —pareciera que intentan salvar la siembra y envenenarnos a nosotras.
— ¡Es absurdo lo que afirmas! —objetó una abeja obrera
No es su culpa. Yo misma escuché una conversación entre dos hombres que decían estar tan preocupados como nosotras, por el daño que pudiesen causarle a la naturaleza; incluso, vociferaban que lo único que pretendían era acabar con los “bichos” y… hasta donde tengo entendido, nosotras no entramos en esa clasificación. Somos las mejores amigas del ser humano.
—De igual modo —agregó una abeja melífera —nuestra supervivencia se encuentra cada vez más amenazada. No sabemos si el veneno que aplicaron para eliminar a los *“bichos”*, alcanzó a las flores de los campos más cercanos y seamos nosotras las que resultemos eliminadas. Propongo que ninguna consuma el néctar de esas flores o nos ocurrirá lo mismo que a las colonias vecinas.

— ¡Moriremos!—se escuchó una algarabía
— ¡Oh por Dios!, es el fin —exclamó desesperado un zángano.
Si eso es así, entonces no moriré en el vuelo nupcial fecundando a la abeja reina, sino de hambre…
—¡Basta! —profirió Sol, mientras todos la miraban atónitos.
No es momento para lamentarnos de nuestro infortunio. —Continuó
No somos la única especie que enfrenta desafíos todos los días de nuestra vida, pero somos fuertes, trabajadoras y organizadas y sé que esas cualidades nos ayudarán a salir adelante.
Estoy convencida de que estamos a tiempo de salvarnos y de salvar a otros (incluyendo a las personas)

—Señoras y señores: Nuestro objetivo principal no es alimentarnos, mantenernos con vida y trabajar duro durante el corto periodo que nos corresponde. ¡No!
Tampoco vivimos para que los humanos saboreen nuestra dulce miel.
¡Somos parte de un gran todo!
Somos las encargadas de polinizar a las bellas flores, de las cuales nacen todos los frutos terrestres que otorgan vida a la vida.
¿Hay acaso un propósito más noble que ese?
Todas asintieron con la cabeza y Sol prosiguió:
—Reconozco que si esas flores tienen insecticidas, no sobreviviríamos, pero sin duda, hay otros jardines esperando por nosotras. Solo hay que asumir el desafío y salir a buscarlos.
Recordemos que debemos continuar nuestra ardua labor; no solo por nuestra propia supervivencia, sino también, porque con nuestra ayuda, miles de plantas podrán reproducirse, sobrevivir y proporcionar los alimentos que los seres humanos requieren.

¡Sigamos el ejemplo del sol! Cada día se levanta renovado y con propósito. Él sabe que no habría vida en la tierra si no nos diera su luz, su calor.
***¡Seamos valientes y vayamos en busca de una nueva pradera!
¡Nuestra colonia y el mundo entero, nos necesitan!.***
*Así lo hicieron y más cerca de lo que se esperaban, encontraron un precioso jardín de flores de lavanda.*
*La brisa vespertina refrescaba las alas de oro de la abeja Sol y la hacía sentir plena…
La frescura y el dulzor extraordinario que la rodeaba, le recordaban que su vida y su labor tenían un propósito. ¡No estaba sola! ¡Era parte de un gran todo! ¡Era la vida misma!
Y se alejó con una sonrisa…*

Participating story in the Hispaliterary Challenge 2 Bees We Are All🌹
It was not a normal morning. Although they were together, there was a tense atmosphere of sadness and nonconformity. There were categorical buzzes of protest.
—It's not fair! —one of them exclaimed.
—We have lost entire swarms, after the farmers came to irrigate the fields," she paused and added, "it seems that they are trying to save the crops and poison us.
—What you say is absurd! —objected a worker bee.
It's not their fault, I myself overheard a conversation between two men who said they were as worried as we were about the damage they could cause to nature; they even claimed that their only intention was to wipe out the "bugs" and... as far as I understand, we don't fit into that classification. We are human beings' best friends.
—Likewise,—added a honeybee, —our survival is increasingly threatened. We do not know if the poison they applied to eliminate the "bugs" reached the flowers in the nearest fields and we are the ones who will be eliminated. I propose that none of us consume the nectar of those flowers or the same thing will happen to us as to the neighboring colonies.

—We'll die! —there was a roar of cheering.
—Oh my God, it's the end, —cried a drone in despair. If that is so, then I will not die in the nuptial flight fertilizing the queen bee, but of starvation....
—Enough! —said Sol, while everyone looked at her astonished.
—This is no time to lament our misfortune. —continued
We are not the only species that faces challenges every day of our lives, but we are strong, hard-working and organized, and I know that these qualities will help us get through this.
I am convinced that we have time to save ourselves and others (including people).I am convinced that we have time to save ourselves and others (including people).

-Ladies and Gentlemen: Our main purpose is not to feed ourselves, stay alive and work hard for the short period of time that is allotted to us. No!
Nor do we live for humans to taste our sweet honey. We are part of a great whole!
We are responsible for pollinating the beautiful flowers, from which all life-giving earthly fruits are born.
Is there a nobler purpose than that?
They all nodded and Sol continued:
—I recognize that if those flowers have insecticides on them, we would not survive, but surely, there are other gardens waiting for us. We just have to take on the challenge and go out and look for them.
Let us remember that we must continue our hard work; not only for our own survival, but also, because with our help, thousands of plants will be able to reproduce, survive and provide the food that humans need.

Let us follow the example of the sun! Every day it rises renewed and with purpose. He knows that there would be no life on earth if he did not give us his light, his warmth.
***Let us be brave and go in search of a new prairie! Our colony, and the whole world, needs us!***

The freshness and the extraordinary sweetness that surrounded her reminded her that her life and her work had a purpose. She was not alone! She was part of a great whole! She was life itself!
And she walked away with a smile...*
