It was founded in 1958 and I think it has been frozen in time, as it hasn't been modernised like other ice cream parlours; its walls and furnishings remain as they were back then. > >According to my husband, this ice cream parlour makes the best ice cream in Valencia. It is located at the end of Avenida Bolívar. This is actually the second time he has taken me there, but it's the first time we've brought our daughter. I've never thought this ice cream was anything special; it's normal. In fact, I think it has lost quality. Unfortunately, they haven't modernised and haven't sought to improve the quality of their ice cream. > >What stands out about this ice cream parlour, and what caught our attention, is the many photographs on the walls of important people and famous artists from the past. In this case, the owner of the ice cream parlour, who is still alive, was sitting there talking to some people. However, we did not want to disturb him, but we could see his career and in one photo he is even seen shaking hands with Marcos Pérez Jiménez, who was president of Venezuela, as well as Lusinche and Caldera. > >As we looked at the photographs, we told our daughter some anecdotes about who these people from the past were. For example, in one of them, he was hugging Tongolele, and also Iris Chacón, who were famous dancers from the golden age. She was amazed because she didn't know many of these stories, and when we saw the gentleman, we were amazed that he was still alive because he is a man who has been playing sports since his youth, and he still looks tough because he is still in good shape. His nephew told us that he was 93 years old or something like that. > >We sat down to eat some ice cream cones, which I thought were expensive because they weren't very good, but we shared them as a family, which is what matters. I liked the location because you can sit and see all of Bolívar and where many people pass by. What I didn't like is that it's next to a funeral home, so I don't think it's a good idea to have an ice cream parlour next to a funeral home, but these things happen. Otherwise, it's a very nice place to sit and share, although there are also many people from the street, from what I could see. We spent a day telling stories to our daughter about the people in the photographs. Of course, there were also family photographs, but there were also many of other people we knew. >
