Jueves deportivo en el Ezequiel Bujanda [ESP // ENG]

 Las actividades escolares se han visto interrumpidas por una serie de reuniones sindicales que se realizan todas las semanas para debatir las inconformidades del gremio docente hacia los administradores de la educación pública en el país. Por este motivo, uno o dos días a la semana el cuerpo docente asiste en menos cantidad a la institución durante esos días. Para esta semana que está transcurriendo, tocó el día jueves. Así que hoy había poca asistencia de los estudiantes, ayer se les avisó de la reunión sindical. Sin embargo, el grupo de estudiantes que vinieron. Aprovecharon el espacio de algunas horas libres para solicitar un balón en el departamento de educación física para ir a jugar mientras las otras clases llegaban. Me pidieron el favor para acompañarlos, debido a que no pueden estar solos en la cancha, así que me dispuse a estar un rato con ellos, para no cortarles la intención. >School activities have been interrupted by a series of union meetings held every week to discuss the teaching union's grievances against the country's public education administrators. For this reason, one or two days a week, fewer teachers attend the institution on those days. This week, it was Thursday. So today there was low student attendance; yesterday they were notified of the union meeting. >However, the group of students who did come took advantage of a few free hours to ask the physical education department for a ball to go play with while the other classes arrived. They asked me to accompany them, since they can't be alone on the court, so I decided to spend some time with them so as not to discourage them.  Si realizamos una encuesta, donde se pregunte la materia favorita de los estudiantes, por lo menos en Venezuela, es muy probable que la materia de deporte salga en el primer lugar, sin duda. Es un momento de liberación, en donde los muchachos pueden salir del estrés diario que se origina por todas las actividades evaluativas que genera el resto del currículo educativo. >If we conducted a survey asking students about their favorite subject, at least in Venezuela, it is very likely that physical education would come out on top, without a doubt. It is a moment of liberation, where kids can escape from the daily stress caused by all the evaluative activities generated by the rest of the educational curriculum.   Lo cierto, es que estuvimos en la cancha un buen rato, por supuesto no pude evitar jugar un rato al fútbol con los estudiantes. Para los que saben un poco de mí, están consientes de que el fútbol es uno de mis deportes favoritos, corrijo, es mi deporte favorito. Así que, cuando veo un balón botar en el suelo, casi que puedo salir como el mejor amigo del hombre (perro) corriendo detrás de esta e intentar hacer el mejor chute a portería de la historia. Pocas veces se logra, pero se hace el intento. >The truth is, we were on the field for quite a while, and of course I couldn't help but play soccer with the students for a bit. Those who know me a little are aware that soccer is one of my favorite sports—correction, it's my favorite sport. So, when I see a ball bouncing on the ground, I can almost come out like man's best friend (dog) running after it and trying to make the best shot on goal in history. It rarely works, but I give it a try.    Últimamente, he estado jugando mucho fútbol, estoy inscrito en dos torneos, que ocupan casi todas las noches de la semana. Y por mi actualidad en la educación, he dispuesto de muchas horas de apoyo en el departamento de educación física. Lo cual se traduce en seguir realizando actividades físicas. >Lately, I've been playing a lot of soccer. I'm signed up for two tournaments, which take up almost every night of the week. And because of my current situation in education, I've been given many hours of support in the physical education department. This means I can continue doing physical activities.   En el departamento hay un peso. Estoy monitoreando de cerca mi peso corporal, en estos momentos estoy por encima de los 90 kilogramos, me siento bastante bien en lo que a la salud respecta. En cuanto a lo físico, me gastaría quizás aumentar un poco la masa muscular, lo cual me debería permitir alcanzar los 93 o 94 kilogramos. Espero alcanzar esa meta en el mediano plazo, debo planificar el régimen deportivo y también el de la alimentación para poder lograrlo. >There is a weight issue in the department. I am closely monitoring my body weight; I am currently over 90 kilograms, but I feel quite good in terms of health. Physically, I could perhaps gain a little muscle mass, which should allow me to reach 93 or 94 kilograms. I hope to achieve that goal in the medium term. I need to plan my exercise and diet regimes in order to achieve it.   Apenas es la mitad del día, y he alcanzado una cantidad de 2100 pasos aproximadamente. Ahora mismo me dispongo a almorzar para salir de otras diligencias. El resto de los pasos se lo voy a quedar debiendo, llegué con el tiempo y el entusiasmo de compartir con ustedes la experiencia de hoy, así que no quise alargar y/o cortar la intención. >It's only halfway through the day, and I've already reached approximately 2,100 steps.
