#Monomad Challenge // Walking Through My Community - Caminando por Mi Comunidad

I want you to come with me on a tour of my community, a place that is gradually taking steps toward development and growth. Just 10 years ago, this land was part of a cattle ranch, where there were abundant lagoons, pastures, and many natural elements. However, with the sale of the land and subsequent zoning, a perfectly demarcated urbanization has emerged, bringing with it a ray of hope and the promise of future dreams.

Quiero que se vengan conmigo a dar una vuelta por mi comunidad, un espacio que poco a poco va dando pasos hacia el desarrollo y el crecimiento. Hace apenas 10 años estos terrenos eran parte de una finca ganadera, en donde abundaban las lagunas, los pastizales y muchos elementos de carácter natural, pero con la venta de las tierras y la posterior zonificación, con una urbanización perfectamente demarcada en cuyos lotes surge un rayito de esperanza y la ilusión de sueños futuros.

We are located right at the foot of the Andes, a place in the north of the state of Táchira, where the Maracaibo Lake depression ends and the endless mountains begin. Here the climate is hot, the earth is muddy, and the entire surface is incredibly fertile. Little by little, houses are being built, each at a different pace, with a personalized style and the indelible mark of their owners, who are forging a very personal sense of design and taste in these constructions.

Nos ubicamos justo a los pies de los Andes, un lugar al norte del estado Táchira, en donde termina la depresión del lago de Maracaibo Y en donde comienzan las montañas infinitas. Aquí el clima es caluroso, la tierra parece barro y toda la superficie cuenta con una fertilidad increíble. Poco a poco se van levantando casas, cada una va a un ritmo diferente, con un estilo personalizado y con la huella imborrable de sus dueños, quienes sobre estas construcciones van forjando un sentido muy personal del diseño y del gusto.

We are in an area of humble families, where everyone moves forward at their own pace, forging their dreams through sacrifice and determination, but always with an unstoppable force to achieve their goals and dreams. Today we wander through an environment that is torn between the natural and the urban, but where I am sure that in the future the landscape will be very different. Estamos en una zona de familias humildes, en donde cada quien va avanzando su propio ritmo, forjando sus sueños a través del sacrificio y el empeño, pero siempre con una fuerza indetenible en conquistar metas y sueños. Hoy damos vueltas a través de un entorno que se debate entre lo natural y lo urbano, pero en donde estoy seguro de que en un futuro el paisaje será muy diferente, ojalá estas calles no se conviertan en paraísos del concreto y el cemento, sino que de alguna u otra manera conserven ese espíritu natural que tanta falta le hace a un mundo lleno de complejidades.
