When they grow up so fast.

Hello!!! Why am I shouting "hmm"? Let me try to lower my voice a little to avoid polluting the environment with noise. Before I start this particular prompt, I want to say that I've missed this space so much. When people stay off this platform and come often, I  wonder what their reasons were for leaving or not being as active and engaged as before.

I've been pretty occupied lately that I can't follow with my goals of making a post everyday, I never thought I would get to this point in my life where I would be so busy that I won't write on this platform for this number of days and then turning into months "not up to a month though" but then it feels like I've been away from this space like forever and I never imagined this to happen like why did it happen in the first place.

Who allowed it to happen? "Well, blame that on nature." On how some things arise in your life, and you forget the real you and focus on other things that look more important in your life. "That is basically what happened to me". Enough about my life and let's talk about today's prompt.

Children and privacy: everybody deserves some privacy, I know that now, as children growing up, our parents would want to be part of everything that is going on in our lives, and when it's time to save the day, they would appear like angels and make everything look smooth. Their words of affirmation are what keep us going during the dark days.

And then, like they say, "children grow very fast," and before you know it, adulthood will step in, and a lot is about to go on in our lives that we wouldn't like to share with our parents, and that moment, they will feel like we are keeping secrets from them, and they will feel bad.

Like I said, everybody deserves some privacy in their lives, and children aren't exempt from that. I can remember growing up when mum would always be in my space, monitoring my every move. Now I love that about her that she is being caring but then to an extent I felt it was becoming too much.

The law of opening doors in our house stopped when my sister and I got to a particular age. We became the owners of our room, and then mum still invades that space like she owns it, and of course, she owns it, "joking though".

There is a stage children will get to that even the parents will know that yes, these kids need some space to sort themselves out, and that's where the privacy comes into play. And when those times arrive slowly, parents will be fully aware and give their children that space, though the invasion will still be there, but then it is likely to be limited.

That is the beautiful moment that exists between parents and their children.

Thanks for reading 🧡
