Mi amiga del trabajo suele tener sus cosas sueltas en su mochila, me di cuenta de que necesitaba un contenedor para sus cosas, así que me ofrecí a hacerle uno, ya que tela siempre tengo y el tiempo de hacerlo no era tanto, use una tela que es símil terciopelo, bastante suave que hace rato quería usar, tengo muchas telas para usar, que es parte de las últimas compras que hice hace un tiempo, realmente hay bastante tela.

It's really been a very difficult year in many aspects of my life, but everything's okay, just a little stress. My friend from work usually has her things loose in her backpack. I realized she needed a container for her things, so I offered to make one for her since I always have fabric and there wasn't much time to do it. I used a velvet-like fabric, quite soft, which I've wanted to use for a while. I have a lot of fabric to use, which is part of the last purchases I made a while ago. There's really quite a lot of fabric.
Use un cierre rojo que tenía disponible de proyectos de hace mucho tiempo y para tomar el tamaño use de referencia uno de mis contenedores de maquillaje, yo acá guardo un espejo, un labial y algunas colitas para el pelo, pero también curitas y cosas de higiene femenina, así que tome este tamaño porque sé que ella guardará cosas similares en el suyo, además es un buen tamaño para guardar muchas cosas sin que estorbe.
I used a red zipper that I had available from projects a long time ago and to get the size I used one of my makeup containers as a reference. I keep a mirror, lipstick and some hair ties in here, but also band-aids and feminine hygiene items, so I chose this size because I know she'll keep similar things in hers, plus it's a good size to store a lot of things without it getting in the way.
Para que me quede parejo use la tabla de corte para que los bordes estén iguales, la tela no es difícil de cortar, pero no quería que se mueva y como mi cuchilla esta super nueva, cortar acá hacia todo el trabajo mucho más fácil.
To make it even, I used the cutting board to make the edges even. The fabric isn't difficult to cut, but I didn't want it to move, and since my blade is brand new, cutting here made the whole job much easier.
Empecé cosiendo el cierre enfrentándolo al derecho de la tela, ya que después al voltearlo queda del lado del frente, hice eso de los dos lados para luego pasar a cerrarlo, por suerte tenía hilo del color de la tela, aunque el hilo de abajo es de otro color jaja, pero no se ve.
I started sewing the closure facing the right side of the fabric, since when you turn it over it ends up on the front side. I did this on both sides and then moved on to closing it. Luckily I had thread that matched the color of the fabric, although the thread underneath is a different color haha, but you can't see it.
Lo agarré con muchos broches para que no se mueva la tela y el cierre este bien alineado, y con puntada recta cosí todo el borde, la tela deshilacha un poco, no estaba en el plan hacerle overlock pero era más que necesario.
I held it with many snaps so that the fabric doesn't move and the closure is well aligned, and with a straight stitch I sewed the entire edge, the fabric frayed a little, I wasn't planning on overlocking it but it was more than necessary.
Al pasarlo por la overlock los bordes los redondee un poco para que de esta forma no quede raro desde afuera.
When I put it through the overlock, I rounded the edges a little so that it doesn't look strange from the outside.
Fue un poco difícil pasarle overlock al cierre, debería haberlo pasado antes de coser el cierre, seguro haga más cosas con esta tela así que lo tendré en cuenta para la próxima vez, la idea de esta tela era usarla en un pantalón, pero ahora ya se me paso la emoción, quizás haga un top con esto, ya que tengo que renovar mis tops y musculosas para el verano ya que mi cuerpo sufrió algunos cambios y necesito ropa nueva.
It was a little difficult to overlock the closure, I should have done it before sewing the closure, I will surely do more things with this fabric so I will keep it in mind for next time, the idea of using this fabric was to use it in pants, but now I am no longer excited, maybe I will make a top with this, since I have to renew my tops and tank tops for the summer since my body underwent some changes and I need new clothes.
Así terminó quedando este pequeño contenedor, es bastante práctico para el bolso o la mochila y ahora mi amiga no tendrá todas sus cositas por ahí y podrá tener un poco de orden en su mochila, espero poder encontrar más tiempo para coser ya que tengo ganas de hacer cositas nuevas.
This is how this little container ended up. It's quite practical for a purse or backpack, and now my friend won't have all her things lying around and will be able to have a little more order in her backpack. I hope I can find more time to sew, since I'm eager to make new things.
