La perfección es un ideal, que es bueno perseguir, pero no hay que obsesionarse con él, en costura no hay cosas perfectas, pero si hay cosas bien hechas, y siempre debemos apuntar a hacerlo mejor, así es como me puse de objetivo hacer un saco a cuadros y que esas rayas estén totalmente en sintonía, hay una forma de hacer trampa jajaja como es un saco recto sin pinzas podría haber cortado del ancho de la tela todo y ya, tizar todo unido, pero no entraba así que a trabajar duro.
Perfection is an ideal, which is good to pursue, but you shouldn't obsess over it, in sewing there are no perfect things, but there are things well done, and we should always aim to do better, that's how I set myself the goal of making a checked jacket and that those stripes are totally in harmony, there is a way to cheat hahaha as it is a straight jacket without darts I could have cut the width of the fabric all and that's it, chalk everything together, but it didn't fit so I had to work hard.
Hice la tizada en el suelo, necesitaba toda la tela extendida, esto me llevo bastante tiempo, corté la espalda y luego los frentes con la vista incluida, para que las líneas coincidieran lo que hice fue poner juntas mis piezas y ver que los moldes coincidieran y así las líneas.
I did the chalking on the floor, I needed all the fabric spread out, this took me quite a while, I cut the back and then the fronts with the view included, so that the lines matched what I did was put my pieces together and see that the patterns matched and so the lines.
También corte la forrería que será de polar, apunto a que sea una prenda abrigada, además mi tela base no tiene nada de cuerpo por si sola, así que necesita si o si tener forro, y mejor que sea algo calentito.
I also cut the lining, which will be fleece. I'm aiming for it to be a warm garment. Besides, my base fabric doesn't have any body on its own, so it definitely needs to have a lining, and it's better if it's something warm.
Tengo que tomar decisiones, como botones, o cierre o lo que sea que vaya a hacer para cerrar, así que eso está pendiente, poner un cierre lo haría más urbano, pero creo que sería difícil conseguir uno que combine bien, y botones pues no lo sé, debo ir a una botonera y elegir con tela en mano, pero se dé una muy grande y buena donde seguro consiga lo que estoy buscando, otra opción es forrar unos botones con la misma tela y ya, pero aún no lo se.
I have to make decisions, like buttons, or a zipper or whatever I'm going to do to close it, so that's pending, putting a zipper would make it more urban, but I think it would be difficult to get one that matches well, and buttons, well, I don't know, I have to go to a button shop and choose with fabric in hand, but there is a very large and good one where I'm sure I can get what I'm looking for, another option is to cover some buttons with the same fabric and that's it, but I don't know yet.
Los bolsillos delanteros también ya están cortados y obvio serán obligatoriamente de tela a cuadros para que esto coincida y de forma rectangular, si les daba forma creo que sería más difícil que esto vaya a coincidir.

Empecé cosiendo la forrería, y con un nuevo objetivo fácil de lograr, quería que tenga un bolsillo interno para mi celular, ya que no me gusta dejarlo en los bolsillos externos si voy en la calle o el transporte, e hice cosas que aprendí este cuatrimestre.
I started sewing the lining, and with a new, easy-to-achieve goal, I wanted it to have an inside pocket for my cell phone, since I don't like to leave it in the outside pockets if I'm out and about or on public transport, and I did things I learned this semester.
Plantee un bolsillo símil ojal, pero al final es interno con la boca, pero la tela no es de forrería, sino de la tela externa para que se vea.
I designed a buttonhole-like pocket, but at the end it is internal with the opening, but the fabric is not lining, but the outer fabric so it can be seen.
Para coser esto hay que coser un trozo de tela sobre el frente, hacer un rectángulo y cortarlo, introducir todo, planchar, en mi caso no se podía, así que le hice un pespunte alrededor, y con esto listo lo que hice fue poner alrededor la tela estampada.
To sew this you have to sew a piece of fabric on the front, make a rectangle and cut it, put everything in, iron it, in my case it wasn't possible, so I made a backstitch around it, and with this ready what I did was put the printed fabric around it.
Ambas telas, la que calamos y cosemos y la estampada deben ser de la misma medida, ya que esto será el fondo del bolsillo.

Sujete con alfileres y cosí ambas telas con overlock para que no pierda hilos y con recta para sujetar la tela.

Esto es un avance hasta ahora ya que queda lo más difícil que es coser la tela estampada y tiene que coincidir al 100%, así que seguiré con esto en otra ocasión, pero será pronto ya que tengo tiempo ahora que es mi receso de vacaciones por unos días más.
This is progress so far, as the hardest part is still to come, which is sewing the patterned fabric and it has to match 100%. So, I'll continue with this another time, but it will be soon since I have time now that my vacation break is for a few more days.
