Sinceramente una costurera experta no lo soy, siempre estoy trabajando en mejorar mis técnicas y créame me ha costado mucho... Pero como todo voy paso a paso para hacer mis costuras lo más linda y bien hechas posible..
Tengo desde años varías teleas que son de forros de cama específicamente de box y yo he tratado de ir dandole uso, he hecho varias cosas entre esas está funda de almohada tamaño king size... Con la cual me volví un ocho jajaja pero la hice; lo que pasa es que los pedazos de tela son muy angostos y tuve que empatar las telas, ahora les voy a contar como hice 😂
Primero saque los pedazos de tela que serían funcional para la funda, estos son tiras muy largas pero solo miden unos 25 a 26 cm de ancho por que son muy angostas.
Las fundas que tengo tamaño king size tienen unos 47cm de ancho porque necesitana unir por el centro 2 pedazos de tira para formar unos 50cm de ancho...
Ahora teniendo claro que debía unir dos pedazos de 25cm cada uno me dispuse a sacar el largo de las tiras que eran de 75cm pues quería tener olgura para trabajar y por si tenía que cortar jajaja
Con mis trozos de tela listo los planche, porque es mejor trabajarlas así, nos permite tener una precisión.
Ahora bien para hacer está funda necesite 4 paños de 25cm de ancho por 75cm de largo, así pude unir 2 paños para la cara frontal y otra para la cara de abajo...
Luego de unir estos dos pedazos los aguante con unos ganchitos así evito que se mueva al momento de coser, llegó el momento de usar la máquina y cosi con una puntada sencilla.
Así forme mis dos paños de 50cm de ancho por 75cm de largo
Ahora quise hacer una especie de costura para evitar que a la tela se le salgan los hilos esto lo hice con una costura de zigzag en mis uniones centrales...
Estire bien mis paños para ubicarlos correctamente y poder ahora pasar costura por todos los bordes dejando únicamente la abertura superior por dónde colocaremos la almohada.
Ya por aquí vamos finalizando, solo me quedo pasar costura por ambos lados y la parte inferior... En la parte superior remate los bordes con unos dobladillos que no me salieron tan lindos como esperaba.. Pero quedaron bien 😂
Así quedó lista mi funda de almohada tamaño king size... Quedó muy linda y las uniones centrales bastante bien, casi parejas; lo noté por el diseño... Para el modelo, tamaño y remate me guíe por mis fundas que tengo acá en casa... Por acá tengo otros pedazos de telas listos para hacerle la costura y así hacerme unas fundas, que nunca están de sobra..
Si ustedes tienen trozos de tela en casa que puedan usar los invito a que se animen y hagan unas fundas para sus almohadas o cojines...

For years, I've had several pieces of fabric that are bed linings, specifically box linings, and I've tried to put them to use. I've made several things, including a king-size pillowcase... Which turned out great, ha ha ha, but I made it. The thing is, the pieces of fabric are very narrow, and I had to join the fabrics together. Now I'll tell you how I did it.
First, I took the pieces of fabric that would be useful for the pillowcase. These are very long strips, but they are only about 25 to 26 cm wide because they are very narrow.
The king-size covers I have are about 47 cm wide because I need to join two pieces of fabric in the middle to make a width of about 50 cm...
Now that I knew I had to join two pieces of 25 cm each, I set about cutting the strips to a length of 75 cm because I wanted to have plenty to work with and in case I had to cut them, ha ha ha.
With my pieces of fabric ready, I ironed them, because it's better to work with them that way, as it allows for greater precision.
Now, to make this cover, I needed four pieces of fabric measuring 25 cm wide by 75 cm long, so I could join two pieces for the front and another two for the bottom...
After joining these two pieces, I held them in place with some small hooks to prevent them from moving while sewing. Then it was time to use the machine, and I sewed with a simple stitch.
This is how I made my two pieces of fabric, each 50 cm wide by 75 cm long.
Now I wanted to make a kind of seam to prevent the fabric from fraying, so I did this with a zigzag stitch on my central joins...
I stretched my cloths out well to position them correctly and was then able to sew around all the edges, leaving only the top opening where we will insert the pillow.
We're almost done now, I just have to sew both sides and the bottom... On the top, I finished the edges with some hems that didn't turn out as nice as I had hoped... But they turned out okay 😂
And that's how my king-size pillowcase turned out... It looks really nice and the center seams are pretty good, almost even; I noticed that because of the design... For the model, size, and finish, I used the pillowcases I have here at home as a guide... I have other pieces of fabric here ready to sew and make some pillowcases, which are always useful.
