On the morning of March 8, 2024, International Women's Day, some announcers, advisors and directors of radio programs met, right in front of Radio Cadena Agramonte. The institution had not made a big fuss about such an important date, due to lack of budget, so we decided to treat ourselves to a wonderful time.
So, between laughter and pranks, we crossed the Plaza de los Trabajadores and headed to Alberto's Café, which was around the corner.
This cafeteria is a cozy, minimalist place that achieves an interaction between nature and users, in a spontaneous and pleasant way. The roof itself and the side walls are adorned with well-tended and trimmed vines.
I remember we bought some flour sweets while we waited for the coffee order to be brought.
Some of us ordered Cortaditos, others espresso and frapuccino (the latter is a delicious variety that, at least at Alberto's, is prepared by blending frappé ice, with coffee, sugar, powdered milk, condensed milk and you can even add flavors like chocolate).
While we were enjoying the coffee, we couldn't stop laughing out loud between jokes and humorous anecdotes that happen in live programs, where any mistake is aired, without the possibility of stopping its flight.
If you visit my beautiful city of Camagüey, do not deny yourself the pleasure of visiting this simple but cozy cafeteria, located on Calle Popular, corner of Plaza de los Trabajadores (in the courtyard of the ACAA). Trust me, you won't regret it.
