Hey everyone! 👋 Hope you're having a day full of good vibes. Today, I want to talk about one of my favorite fictional indie-rock bands, Low Shoulder, and their iconic connection to the cult film Jennifer’s Body (2009).
Though Low Shoulder was created for the movie, they perfectly embody that raw, early-2000s indie-rock/punk sound we all love. Their song "Through the Trees" is a catchy, dark anthem that fits the film’s satanic teen-horror vibe. The movie—written by Diablo Cody and starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried—mixes horror, dark comedy, and sharp social commentary, all backed by an underrated soundtrack.
To honor that energy, I decided to record my own guitar interpretation for Vibes Week 39, channeling that gritty yet melodic sound that makes Low Shoulder (and that era of rock) so special. 🎶✨
