Hola amigos de Mundo Autismo
La dicha por tener un corazón azul es muy grande. Me hace sencible no solo a personas dentro del espectro autista, sino con otras condiciones.
Hace algunos días, les hablaba de mi prima @nievemolina, quien tiene una tertulia maravillosa, La tecla del duende (les debo un post sobre esta tertulia, se que les encantará) donde asiste un público muy variado, entre ellos Yoan, un joven con retardo mental ligero y Jonathan, un joven autista.
Sin embargo, hoy he querido hablar sobre Yoan, el amigo con retardo mental.
Yoan no es solo ese muchacho al que muchos miran como el retardado. Yoan es mucho más que eso.
Es el miembro activo de los talleres literarios, ya sea de poesía o de narrativa, de debate cinematográfico, siempre asiste a todos los cineclubes, sabe más que yo acerca de cine. También va a los talleres de danza, sobre todo a los de bailes populares cubanos, de narración oral escénica y actuación, es muy amigo y trabajo en conjunto con la actriz Clotilde Aguillón.
Pero Yoan tiene un corazón enorme. Es un adulto con la mente de un niño, pero un niño muy inteligente y educado.
Le gusta aprender y ayudar. Hace una actividad en la casa de niños sin amparo, donde va a jugar con ellos y les hace historias con títeres, ademas le lleva regalos. Su actividad se llama Alegría de vivir. Como reflejo de gracias porque estamos vivos y entonces estemos alegres.
Yoan está en casi todas nuestras actividades y para nosotros es una alegría inmensa que él quiera participar con nosotros y quiera actuar para nosotros. Él es parte ya de nuestro colectivo.
Sabe hacer amigos, pues su mejor amigo es Jonathan, el joven autista y se comparten los libros, pronto estaré hablando de Jonathan.
Hoy justamente estábamos haciendo nuestra lectura de poesía Con el aroma del verso y nuestros dos amigos estaban allí con nosotros leyendo poesía y compartiendo un rato de esta mañana de verano.
Sinceramente, él se ha hecho indispensable en nuestras actividades. Cuando no lo vemos llegar una hora antes nos preocupamos, como nos pasó hace poco y no era para menos.
Pues nuestro amigo había tenido un accidente en el teatro guiñol y se fracturó un brazo. Ya está mejor, por eso podemos volver a contar con él y espero que sea por mucho tiempo.
Un abrazo azul para él y para ustedes.

The joy of having a blue heart is immense. It makes me sensitive not only to people on the autism spectrum, but also to those with other conditions.
A few days ago, I was telling you about my cousin @nievemolina, who hosts a wonderful talk show, La tecla del duende (I owe you a post about this show; I know you'll love it), which is attended by a very diverse audience, including Yoan, a young man with mild mental retardation, and Jonathan, a young man with autism.
However, today I wanted to talk about Yoan, the mentally retarded friend.
Yoan isn't just the boy many see as retarded. Yoan is much more than that.
He's an active member of literary workshops, whether poetry or narrative, or film debates. He always attends all the film clubs; he knows more about cinema than I do. He also attends dance workshops, especially those on Cuban folk dances, stage storytelling, and acting. He's a close friend and works closely with actress Clotilde Aguillón.
But Yoan has a huge heart. He's an adult with the mind of a child, but a very intelligent and well-behaved child.
He likes to learn and help. He does an activity at the home for children without shelter, where he plays with them and tells stories with puppets, and he also brings them gifts. His activity is called Joy of Living. It reflects our gratitude for being alive and therefore happy.
Yoan is in almost all of our activities, and it's a great joy for us that he wants to participate with us and perform for us. He's already part of our collective.
He knows how to make friends, since his best friend is Jonathan, the young man with autism, and they share books. I'll talk about Jonathan soon.
Today we were doing our poetry reading With the Aroma of Verse and our two friends were there with us reading poetry and sharing a moment of this summer morning.
Honestly, he's become indispensable to our activities. When we don't see him arrive an hour early, we worry, as happened to us recently, and with good reason.
Well, our friend had an accident at the puppet theater and broke his arm. He's better now, so we can count on him again, and I hope it's for a long time.
