Yvraine's pen-pal!
Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post! I have recently needed to take a new direction. All the details about that is found Here - The Great 40k Review Plan
This is not to just regurgitating the stats and skills. I provide my own assessment of what I think of the unit and its capabilities. Often... about how to use them best... or how to kill them best!
Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.
I am collecting funds in the following ways: - Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD - Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD - Selling some of the collection to friends.
I will do a new estimation of what I owe soon!
Back to the review!
Drukhari, Lelith Hesperax
10th Edition Index
Lelith has been an absolutely deadly Dark Eldar warrior since the earliest days of me playing Warhammer 40,000. The above is her second incarnation. While the first was not nearly as dynamic, it was a lot darker...
Lelith is the ultra version of the Wych Cults. This means they are melee gladiators and they take combat (and other) drugs.
She is an absolute whirlwind in melee! And she is 95pts.
Let's check her stats!
Stats
Movement 8" Toughness 3 Save 6+/4++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain) Wounds 4 Ld 6+ OC 1
Weapons
Weapon Loadout: Lelith’s Blades
Ranged Weapons
None
Melee Weapons
Lelith’s Blades
8 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S3, AP-2 and 1 Damage each. Anti-Infantry 2+ (This weapon wounds Infantry models on a 2+ regardless of the target's toughness) Sustained Hits 2 (Rolls of 6 to Hit cause another 2 hits!)
On an average roll, 8 dice, one 1 and one 6 would mean 9 hits scored and 2+ to wound infantry so around 8 Wounds scored. Sometimes more misses and more hits and more Crits... could vary between 6 and 10 Wounds scored on any infantry.
Abilities
Fights First - this model has the Fights First ability.
Brides of Death
While leading a unit, the whole unit has Fights First and get +1 Strength and +1 AP to Melee Weapons (Pushes herself to S4 and AP-3!)
Thrilling Spectacle
Once per game, Lelith can use this ability at the start of a Fight Phase. Her attacks become 12 and she has a 3+ Invul save!
Thoughts
I have not done the review for Wyches which she leads yet but the whol squad get 3 attacks, S3, AP-1 and 1 Damage. Thus Lelith pushes this to S4 and AP-2. They fight first so even when you charge them, they hit you first. If they charge, they hit first unless YOUR unit has fights first as a defender.
So... in a Raider or a Venom... they shall always hit first and it WILL hurt. They would be useless in a fight against a Dreadnought... But the Drukhari have the weapons in their army to kill those easily... just not in this squad.
Lelith can go to 12 attacks. On average 10 hits and 2 crits putting another 4 hits on, thus 14 hits and then 2+ to wound make for a MINIMUM statistical 12 Wounds scored against all infantry in the game. Very cool against high toughness! A nightmare for Space Marine Gravis Armor units with no Invuls!
