A very dangerous flying cardboard box!
Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post! I have recently needed to take a new direction. All the details about that is found Here - The Great 40k Review Plan
This is not to just regurgitating the stats and skills. I provide my own assessment of what I think of the unit and its capabilities. Often... about how to use them best... or how to kill them best!
Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.
I am collecting funds in the following ways: - Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD - Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD - Selling some of the collection to friends.
I will do a new estimation of what I owe soon!
Back to the review!
Drukhari, Ravager
10th Edition Index
A mere 100pts... for a really dangerous and really fast vehicle... not a TOUGH vehicle... but it comes with 3 Dark Lances... they could be exchanged for Disintegrator Cannons... but that would be a mistake.
And it would be a mistake to let this thing live longer than the turn it is revealed...
Let's check their stats!
Stats
Movement 14" Toughness 9 Save 4+/6++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain) Wounds 11 Ld 6+ OC 3
Weapons
Weapon Loadout: 3 Dark Lances, Bladevanes
Any number of Dark Lances can be exchanged for Disintegrator Cannons... which would be lame...
Ranged Weapons
Dark Lance
36" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S12, AP-3 and D6+2 Damage each.
Disintegrator Cannon
36" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S5, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.
Melee Weapons
Bladevanes
3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S6, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Abilities
Deep Strike - This model can be held in reserve and brought into the battlefield anywhere outside of 9" of enemy units. Deadly Demise D3 - When this unit is destroyed, roll a dice, on a 6 it explodes and deals D3 Mortal wounds to each unit within 6".
Eradicate the Foe
When shooting at a target with its full wounds or a unit with full starting strength, re-roll Hit rolls of 1.
Thoughts
Like I said... dangerous and it can tear a hole right through a Dreadnought or heavy battle tanks in a single volley. Against something bigger like a Land Raider or an Imperial Knight, it would hurt a lot, it might even down the Raider if they get lucky...
Thus, after it appears and you suffer its first volley, you MUST kill it dead! Thankfully, this is not an impossible task, but make sure you do it right!
Thank you for reading!
