I love @actifit for the motivation to be active and different way to blog on Hive. I am not a huge fan of posts that just put up a number, or how full story posts with plenty of pictures and content get ignored for the former. So, what I like to do as I try and claw my way into the top 300 factories of all time is to take plenty of pics and share them like a Wednesday Walk post.
As you can see by my weekly perspective from the steps of city hall, it was a bit of a rainy one today. Not optimal for a news delivery day but I won’t melt.
The day started early with a loading of 2500 newspapers into the car then a quick pit stop at a networking event. Every month, business owners gather at a local business for coffee, treats and networking that brings the community closer together. Nice people this morn.
Out on the town, I have to remind myself to pause bustling so that I can enjoy and share views from this small town. From the lawn of the library, you can see the peaks of the court house, spire in the park, and tower of a church about a quarter mile away. Clumsy skies but a break in the drizzle.
A little further on, I am presented with another @ankapolo crypto moon car. Brand new and only 89k Canadian dollars! There was a cybertruck parked here at 114k last week and I wonder if it was sold.
A little further on, a car repair place has negotiated the use of its parking lot for a hot tub company knowing fall is a great time to sell their wares for the winter. A little 104f soak in the middle of winter sure is great.
I am not much for selfies but I had to stop for one with Rocky the rockin robot. A brilliantly wrapped electrical box has become a robot the has links to playlists of local musicians songs. Art can give a small town such lasting personality.
By the time I had gotten 10k steps in and then pulled an afternoon shift helping a clients with some promo production, the clouds had broken and the little guy required a park visit.
Big birdhouse tree is bravely holding on to its leaves now that fall is upon us. Still showing a little colour and should become nice yellow and red before long.
As the sun goes down, how about a couple beers to celebrate 10k + steps, a productive day and good NFL matchups like Vikings vs Steelers with @tengolotodo, @geneeverett and @davedickeyyall.
