Many of us up here lean into summer hard and sailing is among the best beer-drinkin' activities. You are invited to leave a huge upvote and join our friend @detlev to create your own #beersaturday post with the gang! So glad to have found a home with beer drinkers across the world on my favourite blockchain.

For week 427, I am enjoying all kinds of sailing beer!

The pint of the week is generally out on the town or in a social setting with friends. In the summer time, a great social pint with friends (if you can't make it out sailing) is on a golf course. Here I am in the rough but enjoying it just the same with a Triple Bogey amber. Pretty sure I scored better then a triple bogey on this hole but no promises.

Sailing!

I am partial to sports you can play while drinking beer. I question whether they should be considered sports but who am I to ask? Sailing is one of those as racing is thirsty summer work, and regattas where there is no wind is about as perfect as a session as I can imagine.

How awesome is it to don those beat up gloves and enjoy a Lady Friend IPA from Elora Brewing on the way out to the course? This one is a little light on the ABV for me but packs a nice balance of bitter, sweet and bold. Would recommend.

I discovered a Bayfield Brewing Company this summer. Hazy Sunset was available at Seaforth Golf Club and I am wearing golf gloves but the label shows another sail boat. Something special about finding a new NEIPA at a golf course where most of the beers are plain ales and lagers.

Life in the Clouds

The feature beer for this edition of #beersaturday is a new skin on an old favourite. I have enjoyed Life in the Clouds NEIPA by the regional all-star Collective Arts Brewing so many times. How perfect is it to have the latest label design be a sail boat, maybe even a Shark designed for the great lakes in these parts. A little heavy for sport drinking by normal person standards but I am a pro.

One of the other crew members prefers his Irish Red ale for the regatta and I would rather rock something a little stronger. Sailing juice all the same and we are brothers in beer and sailing. YARRRR!!
