Hola, amigos de esta gran comunidad de Hive. El día de ayer terminé un anime que llevaba viendo desde hace unas dos semanas. Este anime es un poco antiguo: no tiene la mejor animación ni las escenas de batalla más impresionantes a las que estamos acostumbrados, pero posee una historia tan bien escrita que despertó todo mi interés, convirtiéndose en uno de esos animes que recordaré siempre.
🗡️ Un guerrero nacido en batalla
Este anime gira en torno a Guts, un guerrero excepcional, prácticamente nacido para la batalla. Después de derrotar a un poderoso enemigo, logra atraer la atención de varias personas. Con el dinero ganado tras la pelea, Guts intenta descansar, pero un grupo de bandidos lo embosca para robarle. Sin embargo, su habilidad como guerrero es tan impresionante que los derrota fácilmente, incluso enfrentándose a Casca, una joven fuerte, ágil y con gran dominio del combate.
Casca pertenecía a la famosa Banda del Halcón, liderada por Griffith, un guerrero tan carismático como letal. Tras presenciar la habilidad de Guts, Griffith lo reta a un duelo. Si Guts pierde, deberá unirse a la banda sin oponerse. La pelea entre ambos es intensa y rápida: Griffith demuestra su superioridad, sometiendo a Guts con una llave de brazo que termina dislocándole el brazo para forzar su rendición.
De esta forma, Guts se une a la Banda del Halcón, convirtiéndose más tarde en uno de sus capitanes más respetados, luchando bajo las órdenes de Griffith.
⚔️ Encuentro con la leyenda
Durante las múltiples batallas que enfrentan, se cruza en su camino un enemigo legendario: Nosferatu Zodd, el Inmortal. Un guerrero del que se decía que había vivido más de 300 años, y que hasta ese momento parecía solo un mito. Sin embargo, la banda del Halcón comprueba que las leyendas eran ciertas cuando Zodd aparece ante ellos con su forma demoníaca, una figura sacada del mismo infierno.
Zodd derrota tanto a Guts como a Griffith con una facilidad abrumadora, pero antes de retirarse nota algo en el cuello de Griffith: el Beherit, también conocido como el Huevo del Rey, un antiguo y misterioso artefacto capaz de conceder cualquier deseo a cambio de un precio terrible.
Antes de desaparecer, Zodd advierte a Guts con una frase que marcaría el destino de ambos:
“Ten cuidado con ese hombre… la muerte te espera a su lado.”
🔥 El inicio de la caída
A partir de este punto, la historia toma un rumbo mucho más oscuro, satánico y maquiavélico. Poco a poco se revelan las verdaderas intenciones de Griffith, quien comenzará un descenso tan profundo como trágico. Lo que sucede después —especialmente el despertar de Griffith— es algo que me dejó completamente impactado.
Para quienes ya vieron este anime, me encantaría saber qué piensan de Griffith. Personalmente, no he leído el manga todavía, pero después de ver el anime, me dejó tan intrigado que sin duda quiero descubrir más de este universo en las páginas del manga.

Hello, friends of this wonderful Hive community. Yesterday, I finally finished an anime I had been watching for about two weeks. This anime is a bit old — it doesn’t have the best animation nor the most spectacular battle scenes we’re used to — but it has a beautifully written story that completely captured my interest, making it one of those anime I will always remember.
🗡️ A Warrior Born in Battle
This story revolves around Guts, an exceptional warrior — a man truly born for battle. After defeating a powerful enemy, he attracts the attention of several people. With the money earned from the fight, Guts tries to rest, but a group of bandits ambushes him to steal it. However, his skill in combat is so extraordinary that he easily defeats them, even when facing Casca, a skilled and determined warrior woman.
Casca belongs to the famous Band of the Hawk, led by Griffith, a charismatic yet deadly leader. Impressed by Guts’s strength, Griffith challenges him to a duel, proposing that if Guts loses, he must join the band without resistance.
Their fight is intense and brief — Griffith quickly gains the upper hand, locking Guts in a painful arm hold that ends with a dislocation, forcing his surrender.
And so, Guts becomes part of the Band of the Hawk, eventually rising to the rank of captain, fighting under Griffith’s command in countless battles.
⚔️ The Encounter with a Legend
Among the many battles they face, one encounter stands out above all others — the appearance of Nosferatu Zodd, the Immortal. A warrior said to have lived for over 300 years, thought to be nothing more than a myth… until the Band of the Hawk faces him and realizes that the legends were true.
Zodd appears in his demonic form, a terrifying being straight out of hell, effortlessly slaughtering anyone who dares to stand in his way. He defeats both Guts and Griffith with overwhelming power, but before leaving, he notices something around Griffith’s neck — the Beherit, also known as the Egg of the King, an ancient and mysterious relic said to grant any wish in exchange for an unspeakable price.
Before vanishing, Zodd delivers a chilling warning to Guts:
“Be careful of that man… for death will follow you at his side.”
🔥 The Beginning of the Fall
From this moment, the story takes a darker, more satanic and Machiavellian turn. Little by little, the true nature of Griffith begins to unfold, leading to one of the most shocking and tragic transformations in anime history. The awakening of Griffith is a moment that left me completely speechless.
For those who have seen the anime, I’d love to know what you think about Griffith. I haven’t read the manga yet, but after watching the anime, it left me so intrigued that I definitely plan to explore more of this incredible universe through the manga.
