Well, I don't know if this is a proverb, a saying, or something else, but it is a very common expression that we sometimes use to complain, without really considering what it means.
It's not about putting ourselves in someone else's shoes, or them putting themselves in mine, because they certainly won't fit me, or they'll be too tight or too big. It has to do with things in life, with what we do, with who we are.
For many, it's easier to criticize, but we don't put ourselves in their shoes so they can see and be criticized too, because it's not easy to carry the weight of everything they say. It's like a never-ending story.
As is often the case when the power goes out and criticism is voiced on WhatsApp groups about how terrible the service is, that there is no one to repair the damage that we often have to fix ourselves, because I have had to do so, all that criticism falls on the workers, but let's look at it from their point of view, that they are not the owners of these companies, but rather the government in power, They are the ones who must provide equipment and tools to offer a good service to the community that needs it. Otherwise, how can they do their job? Sometimes there are many emergencies and they only have two units to travel to the locations. They do not have industrial safety equipment and there have already been accidents at work due to the lack of this, so it is not the workers' fault. They are also affected, because the power goes out in their homes too.

In the grocery stores, as happened today when I went early and they were already changing the prices, so we come to complain, how do they do it, we are the last link in the chain and we pay, they also pay, they even demand it in cash, something they don't demand from us yet, because if they did, we wouldn't buy, the dollar goes up every day, not cents, but more than that, they are not in a position to lose either, They have to pay for public services, even if they are terrible, but when it comes to complaining, they have the means to pay their workers. We don't see all that, but it's easier to criticize. Try running a grocery store and you'll feel the same way. It also happens in large supermarkets; they must be updating prices according to the dollar exchange rate.

Others who are heavily criticized are teachers, mainly by parents who think and believe that schools are daycare centers, that when they take their children to school, everything is the responsibility of the school and the teachers, when this is not the case. As a teacher, I had to fight battles with some parents to make them see reason, which was not easy, but I did it. However, as parents, they did not check if their children had brought pencils, for example, and I had to solve that problem so they could write. Likewise, they took their homework home, but brought it back without doing it, or their parents did it for them.
Parents had at most three children at home, they couldn't cope with them, tell me, teachers had more than 30 and each one was different, but it was easier to say: **That teacher is the worst, all they know how to do is take time off!**, but they didn't say: **Wow, those teachers are real fighters!**. If they were asked to do some substitute teaching, they said no, they couldn't do it.
There are many more cases like these, where those who are in the same situation should put themselves in others' shoes, otherwise they shouldn't criticize others.
