I like this option because I have been traveling to a neighboring city for quite some time, not for pleasure, but for health reasons, accompanying my mother.
When it's time for her eye exam, we go to Puerto Ordaz from Ciudad Bolivar, which is about an hour away by bus.
But traveling there is a nightmare because we have to catch the first bus or pay the preferential fare, which is a benefit for senior citizens.
First, we have to leave the house very early, when it's still dark at 5 a.m., take the city bus, and get off at the passenger terminal to catch the bus to Puerto Ordaz.
At the Ciudad Bolivar terminal, many buses leave, fill up, and depart, but the problem and inconvenience is for the return trip, which we make on the same day, and we have had many disappointments.
It always takes us longer to leave the Puerto Ordaz passenger terminal because there are not enough buses, and when there are, we have to wait up to two hours for it to fill up with passengers before it can leave.
The buses are sometimes in poor condition, with no air conditioning, and the seats are also uncomfortable. My mom sometimes gets tired of waiting, but we have no choice but to wait because the express buses are faster, perhaps more comfortable too, but they are also more expensive.
Not to go too far, in April of this year, in addition to leaving late because large buses take longer to leave since they have to fill up, when we left the terminal, I don't know at what point, but still in Puerto Ordaz, we stopped for a long time on the road. The driver and assistant gave no reason, the heat was desperate, The driver then said that some passengers who had asked for a favor would be transferred to another bus. Luckily, we were at the front, so I was able to stand up and prevent the other passengers from leaving so that my 77-year-old mother and I could get off first. When we got on the other bus, it was already quite full, but we sat down so we could finish the return trip. But when I got off the other bus, I could see the assistant underneath it, who knows what he was fixing, as well as the other passengers, wondering what time they would arrive in Ciudad Bolívar.
So the return trip, which was supposed to take about an hour, took about four hours.

Thank you @galenkp for this excellent initiative with such great suggestions, but I liked the first one.
