Zingtober - Day 9 - “Heavy” Green Raccoon Lifting Mjölnir (Thor’s Hammer)
> For todays zingtober prompt “Heavy” , I created this drawing of the Green Racoon struggling to lift, Mjölnir, Thor’s hammer because of how heavy it is. Initially I was thinking of making a drawin using the largest animal, the Watee whale is show heaviness but all the ideas required a much bigger paper and detailing would probably take days. I then had another thought of a character lifting weights and that was also cool but the coolest idea to me was if a character was trying to lift Mjölnir, the popular hammer that belongs to Thor, the God of thunder...

Zingtober] 9/ Heavy
> It’s day 9 of Zingtober and today’s prompt is “Heavy”. My idea for this prompt was to draw one of the dragons as they’re lifting a heavy barbell and the character i chose was ground dragon because I think this dragon is so strong and was the best choice for this ideaI but since I have drawn him before I decided to choose another creature. After giving a lot of thought I decided to draw the cute Glimmo. I sketched him as he is lifting a heavy barbell. He is trying so hard because he wants to join Holozing weightlifting competition and win the first place! ^^ I also drew a medal for him to show that he ha...

Zingtober 2025] Day 9: Heavy
> For Day 9, we have the prompt "heavy". 😁 A lot of concepts rushed in my head for this word, hehe. I wanted multiple subjects but it would take time and I might not post under th 72 hrs rule. But here is mine! The first concept was a group of healers carrying a heavy box, but then I scratched that as it would take time so another concept in my mind was a healer carrying a heavy barbell. For this art, I chose ocean healer as my subject. I chose the blue shades this time instead of black. I then used cell brush for...

Zingtober] Day 9 - Heavy
> I started this piece with a loose sketch, focusing mainly on the pose and the feeling of effort. I wanted the sword to feel massive, almost overwhelming, so I exaggerated its size slightly to give the composition more drama. The character’s stance and facial expression were crucial at this stage to convey intensity. Once the sketch felt right, I moved on to the line art. Clean and dynamic lines helped define the character’s silhouette and the flow of his hair and clothes. I paid close attention to his hands and arms since they’re the focal point of the strain and weight he’s experiencing...

Heavy - Zingtober 2025
> This time I started by preparing the cardboard to work on, since I didn't really like the finish of the previous piece, so this time I did it on a thicker support, made from some boxes I recycled. The first thing I did when painting on this support was to seal the edges with paper tape and then apply a couple of layers of white paint as a base. Immediately I took a graphite pencil to draw. First, I drew Waller and then I added a small Wrackoo with his wetsuit and diving goggles next to Waller. Next, I prepared a shade of gray to create the background and made a slight blend to a lighter tone towards the top. I repeated this layer twice for...

Zingtober] 10/ Sweep
> It’s day 10 of Zingtober and today’s prompt is “Sweep”. For this prompt I had this idea of one of the characters sweeping the ground. I decided to draw Wrackoo for this prompt. He is so clean that he sweeps the ground in a forest :D I’m really having a fun time participating in Zingtober because each prompt is a new challenge for me. My first black and white entry didn’t turn out really well because I wasn’t used to only paint with black and white that’s why I ended up making everything so dark :)) The contrast was a disaster :)) I still have a long way to go but I’m happy that it’s getting better and better...

ZINGTOBER: DRINK (Larvie and Chirpily), Holozing Fanart
> This time, my post is for the latest Zingtober contest in 2025. I chose 10 prompts chosen by Holozing, with a 72-hour posting period from the first post. Creating black-and-white artwork is a challenge, as you determine the light and dark values of an object to capture the atmosphere of the environment within the artwork. My Zingtober post, using the DRINK prompt, depicts Larvie immersed in a coffee cup filled with fragrant coffee. Larvie drinks the coffee through a small straw, but it appears large to Larvie...

Zingtober Day 11: Sting - Arachlet spiders sting the Forest Healer 🕷
> Well, first things first, and as I always like to start all my works by making a guide sketch or line art, in this case I drew the Healer right in the middle of my canvas as she would be one of the main characters in my drawing. I drew her with her head slightly tilted down and her right arm slightly raised, and right above her arm I drew the little spider (Arachlet). I began the coloring process by picking up my airbrush brush, which I have used as my main brush throughout this #Zingtober challenge. In this case, I chose a range of intermediate grays to begin building the Healer's skin, giving it a soft texture and, therefore, a very youthful appearance...

09 Heavy - Zingtober 2025 - Holozing
> Well, going back to today’s prompt—Heavy—the first thing that comes to mind when I read that word is a gym and someone lifting big, heavy weights or dumbbells. That will be the central idea of today’s drawing, which we’ll be doing entirely in Photoshop. As I mentioned earlier, our protagonist will be Zappity. The official art is quite simple, so we’ll be using it directly as reference. He’ll be lifting a gym dumbbell high above his back. We’ll be using only black and white as per the rules, but we’ll increase the contrast in the areas that would normally be orange to create tonal differentiation. We’ll also play with strong shadows to generate volume and avoid a flat drawing. A funny moment: I was doing my line art on the sketch layer by...

Zingtober] Day 10 - Sweep
> I started with a sketch, defining the pose and the flow of the composition. My goal was to express a quiet, introspective emotion, so I kept her stance relaxed and natural. This first step was about capturing the essence of the mood rather than focusing on details. After that, I moved to the line art, cleaning up the sketch and giving structure to the character and the environment. The clean lines help maintain clarity while keeping a soft feeling that fits the monochrome aesthetic...
