Welcome, 2020!
Here we are in a brand new decade – so fresh and full or promise. I'd say we're off to a wonderful start!
I trust you'll enjoy these entries as much as I did!
First
@orlandogonzalez • 'Hay Sueños Que Duermen En El Tiempo' (Original)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS7PrD6p3Kk
Absolutely gorgeous – from the wonderfully unexpected surprise of you playing flute to Esther's sweet harmonies, I loved every moment. I know the nearly indescribable emotion of which you sing; some call it saudade. Hard to find words for, yet such a deeply human experience.
Second
@minuetoacademy • 'Juan 16, 33' (Original)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFKv7ws8p8E
Such an beautifully evocative piece, evoking so much visceral imagery; slow-motion running through a forest, dappled sunlight on smiling face, framed by strands of hair in the wind – the perfect soundtrack for a victorious moment – the final scene in a heroine's journey.
Third
@edwardstobia • 'Propósito // Purpose' (Original)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GKj-i8n7do
Such a melancholy song, full of sincere longing – the aching croon of unrequited love. I hope whomever you wrote this for knows the depth of your heart. <3
Fourth
@davidsuarezms • 'Volar' (Original Composition on Guitar)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaiQjOmlj6s
Stunning composition, as always. I so appreciate your elegant, percussive style. :) The cameo of woman and dog behind you halfway through the video made me laugh – nice reminder that life keeps moving around us, even during our quietest, most introspective moments.
Fifth
@gibber • 'I Can't Quit You' by Otis Rush / Led Zeppelin (Cover)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPQgm4qDOrw
I quite enjoyed this rendition, especially your playful combo shaker/strum percussion and bluesy vocals. Good stuff!
That's a Wrap!
Thank you all for participating!
Cheers to the rest of our wonderful team – @krystle, @isaria, @pechichemena, @joseacabrerav, @ausbitbank, @paintingangels & @swelker101. <3
Until Next Week, xo, zippy
