Usually, I prefer farmers market. Much has changed since the war began in Ukraine. Despite this, we continue to live and function. Except for those will never answer the phone again...

I really enjoyed the nearby farmer's market, which I visited every Saturday. Now it's closed. Currently, farmers' markets operate in Kyiv on weekdays, and for some reason they are closed on weekends. One person needs very little food, but it is a good opportunity to leave home, see the sky, people and the city.

I wish I could show you better photos. You might remember I love photography. But now no one walks the streets with a camera. And even taking pictures with your phone is not always a good idea.

So I got in the car and drove to a nearby market. Two Russian missiles hit near it last night. This is not the first time, but I hoped it it open.

This is a new damage after yesterday's attack.

And this is "old".

Surprisingly, dairy pavilion is opened, though sellers aren't many. They said they are here only on Fridays. I bought cottage cheese.

Every week there are a little more sellers. Some shops are starting restoration, some have simply closed the broken openings, and some have remained as they are.

This market is usually very crowded. Lots of sellers and buyers and you can find anything. But for two months now, I've learnt that I will not find everything from n my list in the supermarket or in the market. A week ago I was looking for mushrooms, visited several supermarkets and this market, but never found them. Today one seller had them. There was also one seller who sold sunflower seeds and homemade sunflower oil. And there was an old lady who sold honey.

Not only the assortment has changed. Usually at the beginning of spring, vegetables and greenery are the most expensive, and every week they are little cheaper. Sometimes they rise in price a little just before the holiday, for example, before Easter. Now the prices are going up all the time. Vegetables have become more expensive than they were a week ago.

And this is how cosmetics and health store looks. To be honest, this is the worst case, as others has more goods. But.. it's sad anyway.

More and more people are returning home. There are a lot of traffic jams on the highways, for many reasons. Some sections are still under repair after the destruction caused by russian occupiers. The city has now a shortage of fuel and very long queues at gas stations, although gasoline prices have also risen.

It was nice to see sellers of flowers and seedlings today. You have probably seen a photo of a farmer who sows a field in a bulletproof vest. We understand that it will not end tomorrow, and that things can get worse any moment. But even when I'm upset, I believe that everything will be fine in Ukraine. I didn't doubt it for a second. Because we are a strong and ancient nation. And this is the land of our ancestors. And it's spring, and the grass is green again, and the birds sing, even when air raid sirens, and the scent of cherry blossoms in the air.

What else I could miss? A flower 🌺 Always a flower...
