There are thousands of websites, but they are based on a few protocols (http, tcp / ip, etc.), the so-called Internet. And there will be a lot of apps, programs, websites based on a decentralized, secure, immutable protocol (Bitcoin).
Features of all other protocols that prove themselves are adopted for the Bitcoin protocol. Protocols with a development team behind them (ETH, Cardano, NEO, etc.) are nice attempts, but will have no chance compared to the single decentralized, anarchic protocol - both in terms of frequency of use and (mainly) its valuation (market cap).
As an investment in the "crypto" realm, I consider bitcoin to be the only relevant one (investment as opposed to consumption). People with low time preference use their fiat money, which they do not need, to buy BTC - the best store of value besides gold. Every other "investment" in "Crypto" is high-risk gambling. ETH & Co. may be interesting as venture capital, IF it will be used to any significant extent, and IF the ETH team finds a way to get people to buy and hold (!), e.g. via a kind of dividend. But even if these two IFs happen, the rating of ETH will pale against BTC, as it is a type of company, while BTC is a currency. A comparison would be: ETH corresponds to Amazon: market capitalization of $ 942 billion BTC corresponds to either the USD: M2 money supply of $ 14,612 billion or gold with approximately $ 8,000 billion.
Now towards Steem: For Steem I see an interesting niche in the social media field. Possibly with a widespread usage of Steem, the value of Steem will increase dramatically. But Steem's valuation will also pale against Bitcoin. That's why I see my "investment" in Steem not as an actual investment, but as consumption, as fun and as curation.

Es gibt tausende Websites, die aber auf wenigen Protokollen (http, tcp/ip, etc.) basieren, dem sogenannten Internet. Und es wird sehr viele Apps, Programme, Websites geben, die auf einem dezentralen, sicheren, immutablen Protokoll (Bitcoin) basieren.
Features von allen anderen Protokollen, die sich bewähren, werden für das Bitcoin-Protokoll übernommen. Protokolle mit einem Entwicklerteam dahinter (ETH, Cardano, NEO, etc.) sind nette Versuche, werden gegenüber dem einzigen dezentralen, anarchischen Protokoll jedoch keine Chance haben - sowohl hinsichtlich der Nutzungshäufigkeit als auch (v.a.) der Bewertung (market cap).
Als Investment im "Crypto"-Bereich sehe ich lediglich Bitcoin (Investment im Gegensatz zu Konsum). Menschen mit niedriger Zeitpräferenz benutzen ihr Fiatgeld, was sie nicht brauchen, um BTC zu kaufen - dem besten store of value neben Gold. Jedes andere "Investment" in "Crypto" ist hochriskantes Zocken. ETH & Co. mögen als Wagniskapital interessant sein, FALLS es irgendwann in signifikantem Masse genutzt wird und FALLS das ETH-Team eine Möglichkeit findet, Leute zum Kaufen und Halten (!) zu bewegen, z.B. über eine Art Dividende. Aber selbst FALLS diese zwei FALLS eintreffen, wird die Bewertung von ETH gegenüber BTC verblassen, da es eine Art Unternehmen ist, während BTC eine Währung ist. Ein Vergleich wäre: ETH entspricht Amazon: Marktkapitalisierung von 942 Mrd. USD BTC entspricht USD: M2 money supply von 14'612 Mrd. USD oder Gold von ca. 8'000 Mrd. USD.
Nun zu Steem: Bei Steem sehe ich eine interessante Nische im Bereich Social Media. Eventuell wird sich der Wert eines Steem drastisch erhöhen. Gegenüber Bitcoin wird aber auch Steem keinen Stich machen. Deswegen sehe ich mein "Investment" in Steems nicht als eigentliches Investment, sondern als Konsum, als Spass und als Kuratorentätigkeit.
