# ¡Bienvenidos a mi rinconcito en Hive!
El León es uno de los animales más imponentes, temidos y respetados tanto por otros animales salvajes como por los humanos. Sin embargo, el León también es un símbolo de poder, fuerza, protección y valentía. Además, ha sido motivo de inspiración para muchos artistas desde épocas ancestrales. Podemos ver esculturas, pinturas, fábulas e historias sobre este hermoso mamífero. De hecho, en la biblia Jesús es representado como un León debido a su autoridad y poder. Por consiguiente, siempre quise tener el cuadro de un de “Rey de la Selva”en mi hogar que me haga recordar que a veces debemos ser un León en la vida; así que me sentí motivada para pintarlo, aprovechando que es una de las prácticas de las clases de Patreon donde estoy aprendiendo el arte de la pintura en acuarela.
Para esta práctica y mediante la técnica de la cuadrícula, transferí una imagen pequeña a un formato grande, es decir la imagen del león estaba impresa en una hoja A4 y la transferí a una hoja de 30 x 40. Esto se hace a través de la siguiente fórmula:
En mi caso, dividí el ancho de la hoja grande, 30 cm por el ancho de la hoja A4, 21 cm. El resultado fue 1,42. Luego, repetí el proceso, pero con el largo de la hoja grande, 40 por el largo de la hoja A4, 29,5. El resultado fue 1,35. Después, tomé la medida que usé para las cuadrículas que hice en la hoja A4, 2 cm y lo multipliqué por el resultado más pequeño de la división, 1,42 y esto me dió 2,84. Lo que significa que el tamaño de las cuadrículas que usé en la hoja grande fue de 2,5 porque redondeé hacia abajo. Está es la fórmula para transferir una imagen pequeña a un formato más grande.

Después que hice el dibujo, pinte los ojos, la nariz y la cara del León con la técnica de húmedo sobre seco y para la melena y el cuerpo, usé húmedo sobre húmedo.
Ahora permítanme mostrarles parte de lo que fue pintar este **León En Acuarela: Fantasía Cromática**.
El tiempo que me tomó hacer esta pintura en acuarela fue de 4 días aproximadamente, ya que era la primera vez que hacía una pintura tan grande y usé tanto colores cálidos como fríos, ya que el León original era de color blanco.

# Welcome to my little corner on Hive!
The Lion is one of the most imposing animals, feared and respected by both other wild animals and humans. However, the lion is also a symbol of power, strength, protection and courage. In fact, in the bible Jesus is represented as a Lion because of his authority and power. Therefore, I always wanted to have a painting of a “King of the Jungle” in my home to remind me that sometimes we must be a Lion in life; so I felt motivated to paint it, taking advantage of the fact that it is one of the practices of the Patreon classes where I am learning the art of watercolor painting.
For this practice and using the grid technique, I transferred a small image to a large format, that is, the image of the lion was printed on an A4 sheet and I transferred it to a 30 x 40 sheet. This is done through the following formula:
In my case, I divided the width of the large sheet, 30 cm by the width of the A4 sheet, 21 cm. The result was 1.42. Then, I repeated the process, but with the length of the large sheet, 40 by the length of the A4 sheet, 29.5. The result was 1.35. Next, I took the measurement I used for the grids I made on the A4 sheet, 2 cm and multiplied it by the smaller result of the division, 1.42 and this gave me 2.84. After I made the drawing, I painted the eyes, nose and face of the Lion with the wet on dry technique and for the mane and body, I used wet on wet.

The time it took me to do this watercolor painting was about 4 days, since it was the first time I did such a big painting and I used both warm and cold colors, since the original Lion was white.
