Cuando viajas por el país te encontrás en las rutas un montón de oportunidades para comprar. Y lo que más me gusta es que los productos normalmente son frescos y no pasan por grandes cámaras de frío. En el último viaje a Córdoba y pasando por la localidad de San Pedro nos encontramos en la ruta una verdulería.

En realidad es como un vivero, dónde originalmente vendían plantines. Pero como siempre pasa van adosando más productos y terminan vendiendo de todo. Encontradas plantas aromáticas, artesanías de hierro, antigüedades, productos caseros y por supuesto frutas y verduras.

El señor con el cual viajábamos nos dijo que normalmente son más económicas y eso llamó poderosamente mi atención. Nos dijo que los cítricos son realmente económicos y muy ricos. Sinceramente cuando los probamos eran un tanto diferente a los que normalmente compramos. Se notaba que eran frutas un tanto silvestres y que no tenían procesos ni adherentes químicos. En conclusión no eran tan dulces. En la gran ciudad normalmente encontramos frutas muy dulces, sin semillas y enormes. Pero estas no tenían el sabor tan artificial al que estamos acostumbrados. De igual manera el genio de Genaro hizo una mermelada de naranja realmente exquisita.

Honestly when we tested them they were a bit different from the ones we normally buy. It was noted that they were somewhat wild fruits and had no chemical processes or adherents. In conclusion, they weren't so sweet. In the big city we usually find very sweet, seedless and huge fruits. But these didn't have the artificial taste we're used to. Likewise Genaro's genius made a really exquisite orange jam.

Solamente compramos las naranjas y el zapallo. El día de hoy realicé un locro que posteriormente haré una publicación específica sobre ello y utilicé el zapallo que compramos en la ruta. Una maravilla de producto casero. Dulce como me gusta a mí y con mucha carne. Ideal para hacer un sinfín de recetas. Pero en esta ocasión lo utilizamos para realizar el clásico locro del 25 de mayo que se hace en la Argentina. Yo me anticipé y lo hice con anterioridad para no trabajar justo ese día domingo. Pronto se los contaré y haré una publicación.

Muy contenta realmente por las dos compras que hice y es por eso que recomiendo siempre parar en la ruta y ayudar a los comerciantes que día a día trabajan en pos de brindar un buen servicio. Me encantó la atención que nos dieron y con tanta amabilidad nos cargaron en el automóvil toda la mercadería. Creo que la atención en este negocio y en todos es lo que suma y hace sentirte bien tratado siendo turista.
Con esta publicación quiero animarles a todos a que ayuden a los comerciantes que habitan las rutas de nuestros países. Estimo que son trabajos muy pesados y merecen mínimamente nuestro respeto. Porque entiendo que ellos les compran los productos directamente a los chacareros de las zona. Y entiendo que con esas ventas llevan el sustento a sus familias.
