Let me review another series I enjoyed starting Kevin Cheng. In Ghetto Justice, Kevin plays LA Law who is a lawyer living at Sham Shui Po in Hong Kong helping locals with the cases. He runs his business through a social centre and through various situations, he runs into Kris Wong played by Myolie Wu. She also grew up at Sham Shui Po and wants to be a barrister and is determined to do well in the industry.
Through different cases, the person who annoys Kris the most when they are work together found out that he was actually a famous barrister but disappeared due to a famous court case. LA Law has his views on each case where Kris will think that he is using the law to help the clients get out of their crime easily. But as they work together, Kris has found that LA Law actually helps the locals win each case using the correct evidence as well as the law in place.
When this series started doing their rounds of promos, people were not really interested are anticipating anything. People have the perception that Kevin will act and maintain his looks as in the previous series with no improvement. He proved them wrong. In the first episode, he has already changed his image of acting the good look bloke to a character who doesn’t care to the extent wearing baggy clothes, cut his hair real short and didn’t shave. He also had bread crumbs around his mouth while eating his egg tart which is a total change to his previous roles looking - handsome and well dressed. The ratings went up the roof with his new image as well as the storyline was well written which they ended up making a sequel with the main casts. Kevin Cheng also won the best actor of the year in the annual TVB awards due to this successful series & Myolie won the most popular female actress of the year.
大家好，相信也多人都有看過怒火街頭. 這套電視劇讓演 Law 霸的鄭嘉穎拿到當年 TVB 視帝而胡杏兒拿到我最喜愛的電視女角色. Law 霸是一名住在深水埗的大律師. 他用法律這是幫街坊期間認識了胡杏兒演的 Kris. 他們兩人為街坊大官司就慢慢產生了解而慢慢就喜歡對方. 這套劇開頭沒有那麼大的迴響大因為鄭嘉穎今次改變他的帥形象而且演技大有進步所以當年這套劇很受歡迎. 之後這套戲也開了劇集同樣受歡迎.
