As you save fiat currency in banks, the purchasing power of that currency inflates as time passes.
Fiat is tied to US$
Let's face it, almost everything is tied to the US$. My local currency which is the Philippine Peso (PHP) is no exception. There was a time when the US$ 1 = PHP 23.. Nowadays it is averaging PHP 50.
The purchasing power my currency is as seen on the infographic above. As time goes, only pieces of the original shopping basket can be bought.
So the infographic is a sad but true fact.
Cryptocurrency tied to BTC
I really don't mind that crypto is tied to the BTC. It is pretty much like the US$ of crypto. So far no crypto is close to freeing itself from bitcoin.
The early adopters of bitcoin are now millionaires, even billionaires. Again, the infographic is a fit. But it is not yet too late for everyone to jump in.
