Hope I got your attention here all contenders - this is not some exotic dish I'm using as my cover photo; no I'm introducing you to a beauty called No Strings Attached. She is the work of our super talented friend Peter Wink.
Why would I show this to our Food Fight Friday contenders? Well I think beauty such as this should not be hidden from the world; this lady here would certainly turn heads if she were to enter into the fff arena not so.
Are women not the mothers of all nations? The salt of the earth some call us; and we all know just how tasteless food is without this mineral! Yes I know we all call it seasoning but seasoning it certainly is not!
I'm really rambling on tonight but hey, I'm a tad nervous as I have to step into the fff arena in only about an hour or so!
Anyone feel like having an egg fight tonight, aka egg tapping or egg boxing?
I can just see the mess in the fff kitchen afterwards but hey, we need to liven up the arena now don't we! No cheating though and no using guinea hen eggs which have harder shells!
I'm cheating here, these are pebbles not eggs, they will never break!
Who is going to break the most eggs tonight and be the egg boxing champion and whose egg is going to be smashed to smithereens?

I must quickly tell you a little story - my son had a friend whose nickname was Eier (Egg in Afrikaans) as his mother always gave him hard-boiled eggs in his lunchbox, we all know the pong that can produce! So one day the school teacher wrote a note to Eier's mom and said 'Eier did not blah blah blah...' Well this mother did not like her son's nickname, so promptly wrote a letter back to the teacher and signed it 'Hen'! She used very colourful words when she relayed this little story and said that if her son is called an Egg then surely she must be a Hen!
No guessing that my contribution to the mess tonight is going to be all about eggs, which I have been cooking a heck of a lot lately with all the breakfasts for our students at daybreak before the sun is even up!
I know I'm rubbing it in, but I'm really not a morning person!!! But photos I do take regularly, hubby knows not to tuck in or deliver the food before he's asked that question - have you taken your photos?
FUN & GAMES WITH EGGS
This was hubby's breakfast put together one morning with all the leftovers and did he look worried when I put this in front of him; I mean he's on the wrong side of sixty; not a wee little six year old;)
Hubby again was the guinea pig as I was really out of ideas and tried to make a quick one pan breakfast which he enjoyed being a lover of cheesy sausages.
Bell Pepper rings make the perfect container for fried eggs and really taste delicious with the eggs.
Shall I show you another fight I have regularly, talk about organised chaos!
This is what our guest cottage looks like when we do linen changeovers in between guests in a hurry!
Each bed's linen neatly packaged in shopping bags, ready to go onto the beds in a jiffy and then it's getting the soiled linen looking spic and span again. We always hope and pray for sunny weather as tumble drying is way too costly plus we have an energy crisis here in our country!
I'm digressing again!
How about an inside outside cheesy veggie omelette?
A sunny-side-up hearty breakfast.
How about an egg cheese burger breakfast?
An egg in a hole can be dressed up or served as is.
And last but not least a simple soft boiled egg, the easiest one of them all!
So guys and dolls, I hope you're all ready to step into the ring now we have some sustenance, I'm looking forward to seeing what you bring along tonight for the guys from #foodfightfriday - @jlsplatts, @dandays and @idig!
