Chocolates, sales and elegance - Impulse buying. 🍫

--- >I'm a good manager with money, and I usually buy what I need, and I even analyse before buying... everything or almost everything... or so I think. --- --- When I read @mipiano's post, instead of impulse buying, I read compulsive, and I told myself that I was far from that. In fact, I hardly ever buy things, I'm mostly talking about clothes or shoes. Yes, most women are fans of clothes and shoes, but in my case that doesn't work, I look more at paintings related to pictures, crafts, decorations or something I like to eat. But let's say I'm not a fan of buying and buying. So I read the post a second time because what I saw didn't fit with what I had understood and I said to myself now yes, I think I have some things I can talk about. --- --- ### ***Chocolates or nougats... made of chocolate.*** --- A few years ago I was crazy about eating chocolate, but I found out why, which is beside the point. The thing is that when it's Christmas time they sell in a supermarket some turrones, which in Argentina we call them chocolates. For me, nougat is that white, rock-hard stuff. ---  ||| |-|-| --- And when I went last year and saw the variety and thinking that they were going to run out soon, I bought and bought. I thought that this way I would have enough for after that time and I could enjoy it with my family drinking mate, typical of Argentinians. Mate with chocolate. Well, I still have a lot of them, look. >I love all these flavours, and there was one more which was coconut, but I leave that one to my family, I don't like coconut very much. I know almost everybody likes it. One is banana flavour with dark chocolate, that reminds me of a sweet that was in Argentina, then the pistachio is delicious, also the strawberry, hazelnut and three chocolates, that is to say all of them. But I think I bought too many so I won't run out. I guess they will be used up little by little. --- --- ### ***Shoes on sale.*** --- As I told you I'm not a shoe fanatic, I only buy when I need them. I know, that's strange for a woman, but that's how it is. ---  ||| |-|-| Now look at these shoes, beautiful. I've told myself a thousand times that I can't wear shoes with pointed toes, but I bought them anyway because I loved them and they were on sale. They fit me well, but they put pressure on the front. I haven't worn them yet, but I will... I think so. There's always a special occasion and with jeans I think they would look great on me. But I hope I can resist them and they don't kill me. Maybe I shouldn't have bought them, it was an impulse. My only thought was: they're cute and I'll wear them and they're on sale. They're beautiful, aren't they? They're formal and elegant. --- --- ### ***Elegant black blouse.*** --- The day I saw it I loved it, it was at a good price and I didn't think about it. I always analyse purchases, but that day I didn't think about it. I saw it elegant to dress up and be pretty in summer, because as you can see it has no sleeves and its fabric is soft and it wouldn't be hot. ---  ||| |-|-| --- But guess what... you see the label? I haven't worn it. And I've had it for over two years. The good thing is that I love it, thank goodness. And sometimes I wonder why I haven't worn it. I have no answer. That day I remember there were two of the same in the shop, one black and the other yellow almost golden, and I chose the black one because it matches everything and it looked like velvet from a distance. Did I need it? No, but I bought it impulsively, I think, because it wasn't very expensive, otherwise I would have thought about it. --- --- The issue of thinking so much before buying comes from a family culture, where often there was no money and the most important thing was to eat, before clothes, and that is very ingrained in my mind. But on these occasions I win the impulse. I know I love these things and I will use them... I will eat the chocolates and they will go with the Argentinian mate.
