Touched Down At KL and Tasting Ba ku Teh that I tasted 8 Years ago!

Hey 👋
Though this is the 2nd day already, I really wanted to talk about my arrival experience because that is a whole ordeal on its own. I arrived in Kuala Lumpur and was picked by my Malaysian bestie, ( I haven’t convinced her to check out hive) 😂.

While Indonesia isn’t that far off, when I arrived, I was a little bit disoriented. We’re having one hour difference between Indonesia and Malaysia and I know, others who come to hivefest have it worse. Oh and the Malaysian ringgit is one thing. It’s like the currency isn’t like ours where we started with 1000\. Over here, they have like 10,20,50 and that denomination made me feel like, why is everything just on a smaller number. But when I started converting the currencies, they’re quite a bit.
Anyway, before flying, I picked up some coffee and souvenirs to be shared with the people on hive\! I got the “infamous” coffee luwak. I shall read more reviews of it and I really hope one of the guys could review it cause I wanted to know what it was like for them.

After checking in, I head out to the cafe next door for extra coffee. The place was really nice and that’s when I know that Malaysia has bigger portions in their coffee. At the time, I also met up with @aswita as she had reached the place as well. She went to see us and had some meal with us and my bestie.
## I finally met @littlenewthings

The excitement is really there\! We’ve been talking for quite a while and I am so happy to have met them. She and @bitrocker2020 along with @elizacheng were taking me to the place where 8 years ago I had a meal with them. This bakuteh is a truly local experience. I trust them that it was good because that was the meal I could never forget about Malaysia.
Only after coming back after 8 years, they took me to this flavor I will never forget. It really fixed my longing to this country and their cuisine. Truthfully, I had a bad experience 8 years ago but these days, things have changed except this Bakuteh, a delicious pork dish that has tea as a part of the set. It’s very rich and so brothy.
I am sure you have seen me in one of @arcange’s posts because he was also there. I was being so chatty with @littlenewthings as we talked about many things 😂.

On our way back to the place, we got stuck in traffic that day and honestly, it was pretty challenging to navigate the place but now I know quite a bit how to move around the place. By the way she also gave me a few coffee that obviously I am so in love with 😀
It was just the first day of arrival and I was already so packed with activities. Even now, I am telling @mylittlenewthings that I felt like it’s a dream. I coudn’t believe I had the chance to attend hive fest and talked to everyone behind the screen\!
So, I’ve got to really thank @splinterlands for this awesome sponsor. At the moment, I am so behind on my update as I got no access to my laptop because I was so busy prepping for my talk which the other day happened and I couldn’t believe I even had the courage too 😆but that’s another story for later.
Now, I am writing all this just so I won’t forget about all the beautiful memories I made here. I thought I was some type of introverted person but I was just being a social butterfly I guess and I will be shamelelly tag everyone I saw during my hivefest 😉
While I am not so much into taking pictures actually but pictures are part of the events it seems. So I tried to be fine with it. See you in my next stories of Hivefest in my next post and story of Hivefest in my perspective as I was also presenting and I'll tell you what really happened behind the screen 😂
