Bird migration has begun and a lot of birds are returning to their wintering location in the south. That's why I was able to take some pictures of a big flock of Lapwings that was forming to return to their wintering location together. I find it always very interesting that birds often live on their own during the year but when migration time approaches they often form big flocks to fly back to the south together. I really think this ia a nice behaviour and in flocks they are less vulnerable to predators.
