I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is on Feathered Friends. The topic of today's post is Big Birds and i am going to share with you a photographs of Egret. This bird fits well into today's topic. I have titled today's post The Great Egret. In this post I have presented 6 photographs of the Egret bird to you. Birds mostly associated with water are large in size and the Egret bird is one of them. In today's post I have presented photographs of the beautiful Egret bird sitting on a branch of a tree and looking at the lake. And I will talk more about the Egret bird with you here today. I am presenting the first photograph as my entry for today's post in Feathered Friends Show Me A Photo Contest Round 235 run by @nelinoeva .
As can be seen in the photograph above, the Egret is standing peacefully on a branch sticking out of the water. This bird stands like this in only two situations, either it wants to catch fish or it wants to rest. Looking at the photograph above, it seems that this bird is resting. If I talk about the agility of the egret, then this bird is an excellent hunter. The specialty of this bird is that they stand very still in the water and patiently wait for fish, frogs or small insects to come near. When the time is right, they strike with their sharp beak to quickly catch their food.
As seen in the photograph above, Egrets are beautiful long-legged birds. Which are mainly found near water like lakes, rivers and wetlands. This Egret bird belongs to the heron family and is known for its white feathers, long neck and pointed beak. In the photograph above, the pointed beak and long garter of this Egret bird can be seen. This Egret bird is found in many parts of the world. They like places where there is plenty of water and food. These birds are also known for their beautiful movements and calm nature.
This bird looks more beautiful when it poses for a photograph. But in the photograph above, this bird is showing its back. It seems that this bird is watching the lake. This bird is also beautiful to watch flying. When this bird opens its wings, it looks very large. The wings of this bird are twice as long as its body, which gives this bird a huge appearance. This bird often flies slowly and beautifully.
During the breeding season, some Egrets grow long, fancy feathered feathers. These feathers are called plumes. In earlier times, people used to hunt Egrets for these feathers to decorate hats and clothes. Due to this, their numbers decreased. But today, hunting Egrets is mostly banned. And many of them are now protected.
The egrets seen in these photographs are not only beautiful birds. But these birds also play a very important role in the environment. They help control the number of insects and fish. For this reason, it keeps nature in balance. Seeing a egrets in the forest can be a peaceful and magical experience.
Having said all the above, it is not wrong to say that the egret is a gentle and majestic bird that lives near water. Its beauty, calm demeanor and hunting skills inspire me to admire it. With this, I will end my post today.
