Hello Hive Community.
I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is on Feathered Friends. Today I am making a post in the Feathered Friends community after 15 days. I try to make more posts when the price of hive is low. But due to my busy schedule, it is not possible right now. However, whenever I get time, I definitely make a post here. In today's post, I have presented a beautiful Owlet with you through photographs. In the photograph above, a small owl is seen sitting peacefully in the hollow of a tree trunk. I hope that my post and photographs of Silver Appleyard Duck will be eligible for the Show Me A Photo Contest Round 243 which is being run by @nelinoeva .

As can be seen in the above photograph, this bird has completely blended with the brown color of the bark. Due to which it seems to be a part of the tree. This is a beautiful example of how nature helps animals to hide in their environment and keep themselves safe. The owl seen in this photograph is a spotted owl. Which is a small species of owl. This owl bird is found in open rural areas, villages and also near human settlements in India and other parts of Asia. This bird has a round head, bright yellow eyes and white spots on its brown feathers. Owls are known for their excellent eyesight and ability to see in the dark. Spotted owls usually hunt insects, small rodents and lizards at night.

As seen in the photograph above, the owl is resting in the bosom of a rough, old tree. The soft sunlight falling on the owl beautifully illuminates its bright eyes and patterned feathers. Due to this light, the background has become blurred. So that our attention is drawn directly to the bird and its home in the tree. As I have talked about earlier, the bird seen in the photograph is resting safely in the bosom of an old tree trunk. Its bright yellow eyes are carefully observing the surrounding environment.

As can be seen in the photograph above, the feathers of this bird are brown-gray and have white spots. Which makes it blend in easily with the bark of the tree. The most attractive feature of this bird is its large yellow eyes. Which give it an alert and intelligent look. These eyes are especially suitable for seeing in the dark. Because owls are mostly active at night. This bird prefers to live in tree hollows, old buildings or crevices. These are places where this bird can hide safely during the day.

As can be seen in the photograph above, the owl is peeking out from its tree hole. Which acts as a protection for its nest and from predators. These birds usually live in pairs or small family groups. This bird eats insects and small animals that can damage crops. So this owl plays an important role in maintaining the balance in nature.
I hope that my post will accept the Show Me A Photo Contest Round 243.
I sincerely thank you for visiting and reading my post.
