🦉 Blyth's reed warbler (Acrocephalus dumetorum)

  • Acrocephalus Greek: acros upper, pointed, kephale head
  • dumetorum lat .: dumetum thicket, thickets, dumus thorny bush

It was not for nothing that this bird was called a "fourty songster" in the old days. After all, this bird loves to insert into its songs the voices of other birds that it has heard at one time. These songs can be heard from about mid-May, which in my opinion is quite late for birds of this family, since other birds from the warbler family arrive earlier.

The bird is a typical inhabitant of bushes. And it does not matter where they are. It can be a mixed forest, coast, meadows, fields, or even in city yards.
