My Ear Buddy From The Galaxy | Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Quick Review

### A Budol after another. A few days after that momentous *budol*, I managed to convince myself that to effectively maximize my new purchase, I have to get earphones to use with it. With all the phone calls and video calls I make, plus videos to watch from time to time, I cannot always keep my phone on my ear or put it on loudspeaker. Sure, the Dolby Atmos makes the sound great but that doesn't mean that I can keep the loudspeakers on every phone call and video call I have, right? For a while I thought I could use my old Bluetooth earphones but then because I have not used it for quite some time, the rubber buttons are already chipping away. The noise cancellation on my daughter's headset is also quite good. Maybe I could borrow it from her from time to time. But nope, it's not wireless, and only a few days after I got my phone did I realize that **it doesn't have an audio jack**! My sister laughed at how far behind I was on tech. LOL, Seriously. #### *Sooo* far behind. Beyond the fact that I didn't know that phones these days no longer have audio jacks, I also just learned that there's an interest-free 4-months installment system that is available in the UAE. While having a conversation with my aunt, she mentioned Tabby, an app that lets you split payments for purchases from partner merchants including Carrefour, a leading grocery store here, and Amazon. I really confirmed that I have been living under a rock because apparently, this is a famous method of payment here in the UAE for quite some time. Hoooorayyy! Now I can check out what's been lying there in my cart for a couple of weeks already. *The next day*...  I got on my hands Samsung Galaxy Buds 2, lavender color (to match my phone, lol) plus a clear case that I got almost entirely free from cashback rewards. ### Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Quick Review. In the small box, there were: 1. a pair of earbuds (I'd be deymd if there wasn't. lol) 2. the case which was also the charging case of the ear buds 3. charging cable, C-type without an adaptor. 4. two (2) extra rubber tips. There were small, medium, and large tips you can choose from depending on your ear canal size. ... and of course those nitty gritty warranty cards and manual.  The buds get automatically charged when placed inside the case. You will see this is so since there is a tiny red light that turns on. You can also put the Samsung Wearables widget out that will show you the status of your device.  #### "How's the Fit?" This was the first question my sister asked me. She has the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, which she said have a perfect fit. She could fight through the stressful Manila commute without worrying about them falling off her ears... So I thought, why then am I uncomfortable with mine? They always feel that they'd fall off and I cannot, for the life of me get the spots where I need to tap to finish a call or manage a playlist (pause/play/next track). #### That facepalm moment. 🤦‍♀ It took a few days until I realized **my stupid mistake**. ##### I have been putting the buds the wrong way! Apparently, I have been wearing it upside down hence the sensors are not touching the correct spots in my ear. So now, they're a **perfect fit** and I can truly enjoy the noise cancellation and properly use the touch controls of the earbuds. The earbuds are *leave-me-alone-I-want-peace* signal to my kids. Basically, a DND button in lavender. LOL Apart from my n00b moment, the buds have been doing what they're supposed to do. The battery life is also not bad. It recharges each time I put them back in the case, so unless I forget to charge the case, I wouldn't have a problem. ### Hello, Geeks! It's my first time here in this lovely community.
