No sé si sea algo común entre los gamers querer ser coleccionista, pero he visto algunos video de personas hablando sobre videojuegos y tiene en su haber varias consolas, juegos originales, figuras, coleccionables y mucha mercancía relacionada al mundo gamer. Siempre quise tener algo parecido, ya la parte de figuritas la dejé atrás hace muchos años, pero por lo menos quise conservar las consolas y juegos originales que tuve.

En mi juventud tener un juego original era todo un logro, costearlo no era posible, así que cuando lograba alguno, era oro. Esto pasó con la PlayStation 1 solo tuve un juego original que me hubiera encantado conservar, luego llegó el Super Nintendo con sus cartuchos que si o si tenían que ser originales, de los cuales tuve grandes juegos que me hubiera encantado mostrarle a mis hijos hoy dia.
A que pocas casas de la de mis padres tuve unos vecinos que su papá le compraba las consolas más nuevas, las que salían en el año, y conservaban las viejas, tenían una colección de juegos originales y bueno era algo envidiable. En mi caso, mi padre compro solo un par de consolas, las primeras que tuve, pero todas las demás llegaron gracias a que mis hermanos y yo nos las ingeniábamos para que eso pasara.
Por más que deseaba conservar una vieja consola no fue posible, pensé que de adulto sería distinto, pero ha tocado vender la versión anterior para mantenerse actualizado. Cualquiera podría decir que no debería estar quejándome y ser agradecido, pero no es una queja, es compartir un sentimiento que se que otros gamers quizás entiendan.
Esta vez tocó decirle adiós al PS4, pero fue necesario, pero esta vez no era para actualizar a la nueva consola. Me negue a venderlo durante todo el año, esperando que otros esfuerzos por hacer dinero dieran fruto, pero no fue posible. Ya ha mediados de año había vendido un PSVita y todos los juegos originales, era mi plan comenzar una colección de videojuegos, pero las circunstancias no lo permitieron.
Se aproximaba la navidad y por primera vez en mucho tiempo no tenía para los regalos, mi hijo mayor entendería si le explicaba, mi hija menor sería más complicado, cuando se tiene hijos hay que hacer lo necesario para que ellos estén contentos. Tenía la esperanza de conservarla de recuerdo y tener en algún momento un cuarto gamer para mí y mis hijos, pero creo que se me está acabando el tiempo y las prioridades están cobrando mayor relevancia.
De forma milagrosa se vendió el 23 de diciembre a las 5 pm, la puse con temor a la venta en Marketplace de Facebook, por la fama de estafas que ocurren a través de este lugar. Alguien me pidió que la llevara a su local comercial, resultó ser un revendedor, cuando llegue al sitio la probó hasta el cansancio para estar seguro que no tuviera defectos, yo por mi parte estaba que agarraba mi aparato y me iba del lugar, pero termine tomando el dinero que me ofreció pensando en los niños.
Al día siguiente el 24 sali con mi esposa a comprar los regalos de los niños, estuvieron muy felices y agradecidos porque recibieron algo esta navidad. Mi hijo mayor que es más consciente no lo esperaba porque sabe lo ajustados que vivimos, pero mi hija menor nunca perdió la fe que tendría su regalo, quizas cuando este mas grande le cuente como paso, o quizás lea esta líneas y se entere.
