I have always been a bit of a loner. There was a time when I was surrounded by friends, when the party was in full swing, and everything was joyful. Friendships were definitely abundant. However, when things have not been so positive, I have been able to count my true friends on one hand, with many fingers to spare. Yesterday, I received a pleasant visit from one of those who, to this day, I consider to be one of my best and truest friends, the one who has made me laugh until I cried, dried my tears, encouraged me when I thought all was lost, and even though we haven't seen each other for years, we still have that complicity and that spirit of teasing each other without offending each other. The affection remains intact, and that is something I value immensely.
Pablo, La Perra Esa, was the best friend of an ex-boyfriend I had about 17 years ago, and he ended up affectionately calling me (although many would think otherwise) La Perra Esa, because whenever I called my ex-boyfriend, he was with me doing whatever activity, and at times he would tell me that he felt displaced, because his friend had pushed him aside for me. When I broke up with that boyfriend, I was hugely surprised when he was the one who comforted me in my heartbreak. For a long time, he wanted to play Cupid and try to set up meetings between my ex and me so that our group of friends wouldn't end up breaking up, but that didn't happen. However, in the division of assets from the relationship, I kept the most precious treasure, the beautiful friendship that this witty person has been able to give me.
As I mentioned, yesterday he came to visit with his wife, the mother of his two beautiful daughters. We chatted a bit to catch up, since we hadn't seen each other for about four years. We live about 20 minutes apart, but our daily routines of work and family don't allow us to get together as often as we used to. Back in our party days, we saw each other almost every day, which made us both feel like family. My parents and siblings welcome him as one of the family, and that's how we see him at home.
This image shows how the years have not passed in vain, and although there are more years of friendship, I hope that more will continue to be added to the list.
When he was leaving, we took a photo together. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to tell him that he has a lot of gray hair and to document it, ha ha ha. He always teases me about being older than him. When I posted the photo on my WhatsApp status, some old coworkers who were also part of that party group that used to hang out with us showed up, some suggesting that we should get together again. And the truth is, I'm kind of tempted to organize a reunion, but as I said above, getting everyone together now is a bit difficult, because everyone's routines have changed, and obviously everyone's responsibilities are even more important than having a few drinks with old friends.

______________________________ Siempre he sido un poco solitaria, hubo un tiempo en el que vivía rodeada de amigos, cuando la fiesta estaba encendida, y todo era alegría, definitivamente las amistades abundaban, sin embargo, cuando las cosas no han sido tan positivas, he podido contar a los verdaderos amigos con una mano y me sobran muchos dedos; ayer recibí la grata visita de uno de los que hasta la fecha, considero, de mis mejores y verdaderos amigos, ese que me ha hecho reír hasta llorar, ha secado mis lágrimas, me ha dado ánimos cuando pensaba que todo estaba perdido, y que aún, cuando pasamos años sin vernos, continuamos teniendo esa complicidad y ese ánimo de hacernos bullying sin ofendernos, el cariño continúa intacto, y eso para mí es algo que valoro inmensamente.
Pablo, La Perra Esa, era el mejor amigo de un antiguo novio que tuve hace unos 17 años, y que termino diciéndome de manera cariñosa (aunque muchos pensaran lo contrario), La Perra Esa, pues siempre que llamaba a mi exnovio, estaba conmigo haciendo cualquier actividad, y por momentos me comentaba que se sentía desplazado, pues su amigo lo había hecho a un lado por mí; para cuando rompí con aquel novio, mi sorpresa fue gigante, cuando era el quién me consolaba en medio del despecho, durante largo tiempo quiso hacer de cupido e intentar encuentros entre mi ex y yo para que nuestro grupo de amigos no se terminara disolviendo, pero eso no se logró, sin embargo, en la repartición de bienes de la relación, me quede con el tesoro más preciado, la hermosa amistad que este ser tan ocurrente me ha podido brindar.
Como les comentaba, ayer vino de visita con su esposa, y madre de sus dos hermosas hijas, estuvimos conversando un poco para actualizarnos, pues no nos veíamos desde hace unos 4 años, vivimos a unos 20 minutos de distancia, pero, la rutina diaria del trabajo y las familias no nos dejan coincidir como solíamos hacerlo antes, por aquellos años fiesteros, nos veíamos casi a diario, lo cual hizo que ambos nos sintiéramos como familia, mis padres y hermanos lo reciben como uno más de la casa, y es que, así lo vemos en casa.

Cuando ya se iba nos tomamos una foto, no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de decirle que está lleno de canas y dejarlo documentado jajaja, él siempre se burla de que yo soy mayor que él, al publicar la gráfica en mis estados de WhatsApp, aparecieron algunos viejos compañeros de trabajo que también formaron parte de aquel grupo fiestero que nos acompañaba, algunos sugiriendo que deberíamos reunirnos nuevamente, y la verdad es que, me provoca un poco propiciar una reunión, pero, como lo dije líneas arriba, coincidir ahora, es algo que cuesta un poco, pues las rutinas de todos han cambiado, y obviamente las responsabilidades de todos son aún más importantes que tomarse unos tragos con viejos amigos.
