Hola a todos los que me leen. Soy nueva en Hive y entré a la plataforma por invitación de @takeru255 para ayudarme a difundir el trabajo que hacemos como Fundación Sin Fines de Lucro para ayudar a los Peludos de la Calle y así como también para que otras personas se interesen en ayudar a estos animalitos, bien sea dándoles un hogar permanente lleno de amor o colaborar con ellos a través de donaciones.

Mi nombre es María Alejandra y junto a mi hermana Esther decidimos ayudar a los animalitos callejeros desde 1998. Empezamos esterilizando a los perritos y gatitos de la calle para que tuvieran una mejor vida, sin embargo, luego de sus respectivas operaciones y pronta recuperación, los devolvíamos al lugar de dónde lo recogimos evitando de esta manera que nacieran más gatitos o perritos propensos a morir en la calle por falta de cuidados.
> My name is María Alejandra and together with my sister Esther we decided to help stray animals since 1998. We started by sterilizing street dogs and kittens so they could have a better life, however, after their respective operations and speedy recovery, we returned them to the place where we picked them up, thus avoiding the birth of more kittens or dogs prone to die on the street due to lack of care.

Mi hermana y yo empezamos sin nada, corriendo con todos y cada uno de los gastos de estos animalitos sin hogar. Si había que hacerles algún tipo de cirugía, se le hacía, si había que comprarle alimento, se le compraba, pero los tiempos en Venezuela fueron cambiando de manera drástica y cada día se ha vuelto desde entonces una lucha en la que nos vimos obligadas a pedir apoyo a terceros.
> My sister and I started with nothing, bearing every expense for these homeless animals. If surgery was needed, it was done; if food was needed, it was bought. But times in Venezuela changed drastically, and every day since then has become a struggle, forcing us to ask for support from others.

Hemos ayudado a muchos animales que han necesitado ayuda. La mayoría padece desnutrición y otras han sido más grave como heridas causadas por atropellamiento, algún maltrato animal o simplemente una fuerte infección generada por alguna herida que no sanó. También hemos atendido peluditos con sarna y exceso de garrapatas. Empezaron siendo 10, luego 30 y ya después no nos dimos abasto por una temporada para atender a más animalitos de la calle, por eso decidimos formalizar esta fundación.
> We've helped many animals in need. Most suffer from malnutrition, and others have been more serious, such as injuries caused by being run over, animal abuse, or simply a severe infection caused by a wound that didn't heal. We've also treated pets with mange and excessive tick infestation. It started with 10, then 30, and then we couldn't keep up with caring for more stray animals for a while, so we decided to formalize this foundation.

Es gracias al amor y el apoyo incondicional de muchísimas personas con ganas de ayudar, que nos impulsaron a seguir adelante y fue entonces que en el 2013 logramos fundar oficialmente la **Fundación Vida Animal Peludos de la Calle**. Actualmente hemos ayudado y rescatado a miles animalitos callejeros y hemos dado en adopción a 400 peludos. Logrando darles tan buena calidad de vida que cada uno de ellos logra vivir más de su tiempo estipulado.
> TIt's thanks to the love and unconditional support of so many people eager to help that motivated us to keep going, and it was then that we officially founded the **Peludos de la Calle Animal Life Foundation** in 2013. To date, we've helped and rescued thousands of stray animals and have given 400 of them up for adoption. We've managed to give them such a good quality of life that each one of them lives longer than their allotted lifespan.

Es decir que si un perrito normalmente vive por 12 o 13 años, gracias a nuestros cuidados y a los hogares amorosos que les conseguimos, les dimos una oportunidad de ser felices por 15 a 18 años. Al igual que los gatitos. Muchos han sido dados en adopción y nos cuentan que han llegado a vivir entre 18 a 19 años.
> That means that while a puppy normally lives 12 or 13 years, thanks to our care and the loving homes we find for them, we've given them a chance at happiness for 15 to 18 years. Just like kittens. Many have been given up for adoption and tell us they've lived 18 to 19 years.

También hemos participado de muchas jornadas de estirilización animal, concientización para el cuidado de los peludos y muchas pero muchas jornadas de adopción. Han sido una cantidad inmensa de personas a las que le hemos tocado el corazón y queremos seguir propagando nuestra labor, primero en las redes sociales y ahora nuestro siguiente paso es en Hive. Una Blockchain de la que conozco poco pero de la que quiero formar parte para seguir ayudando a mis animalitos.

We've touched the hearts of countless people, and we want to continue spreading our work, first on social media and now our next step is Hive. A blockchain I know little about, but one I want to be a part of to continue helping my pets.

Hemos contado con ayuda humanitaria para el cuidado y atención de los peludos. Bañarlos, afeitarlos, desparacitarlos, vacunarlos, alimentarlos y darles mucho amor para poder darlos en adopción. Son muchos los perritos que hemos tenido que adiestrar. Su daño no ha sido sólo físico sino también mental y emocional, lo que nos da una pequeña muestra de toda la crueldad que han tenido que soportar en este mundo desde tan corta edad.
> We've relied on humanitarian aid for the care and attention of these furry friends. They've bathed them, shaved them, dewormed them, vaccinated them, fed them, and given them lots of love so they could be put up for adoption. We've had to train many dogs. Their damage hasn't only been physical but also mental and emotional, which gives us a small glimpse into all the cruelty they've had to endure in this world from such a young age.

También nos hemos enfocado en estar presente para abogar por los derechos animales a nivel legal. Hemos hecho acto de presencia en marchas y protestas para darle voz a estas criaturas de Dios que vinieron al mundo a dar amor, no a sufrir. Yo espero que poco a poco y con la ayuda de mi amigo @takeru255 logre muchas metas dentro de esta plataforma y así poder seguir creciendo para mantener esta bella labor que realizo cada día con todo el amor de mi alma.
> TWe've also focused on being present to advocate for animal rights at the legal level. We've participated in marches and protests to give a voice to these creatures of God who came into the world to give love, not to suffer. I hope that little by little, and with the help of my friend @takeru255, I'll achieve many goals within this platform and thus be able to continue growing and sustain this beautiful work that I do every day with all the love of my soul.
