Some days ago, I wandered around Hive and found out that the Nigerian community is going super strong. I was active on Hive during the community's inception and was going to become an active member sharing and contributing my bits to its growth, but life and circumstances provided me with another path. I've since become a passive member on Hive, well until recently.
My absence on Hive was not exactly planned, but it was a necessity. My focus had to be on my day-to-day business and building the business left me without the privilege of time to tend to other things like blogging. Things are a lot more different now and my business has attained the stability I earlier sought, affording me the time to do other things like being here.
I do not what the requirements are to be a part of this community however, I'm hoping that I'm able to connect with the right people that'll point me in the right direction after this post. Until then though, here's a brief reintroduction.
Hi! My name is Favour Otunji also known as Kodeblacc and I run a photography brand based in Port Harcourt Nigeria (our services are not limited by geographical location though) called Kodeblacc studios. I've been doing photography professionally since 2019, that's why a lot of my blogs on Hive have been photography related, as it's the most active thing that I participate in. Photography however, is not the only I'm skilled at. I can be a great writer when I'm in my bag, or a great singer when I'm in the shower, and one of the best video games player(especially FC25) when I find the time to play.
I'm from Delta state Nigeria, the igbo speaking part of it. A lot of people I'm Yoruba because of my surname, but I'm actually igbo. My surname Otunji means "Blackman". It's quite literally the basis on which my brand name was founded. I'm a graduate of pure and applied physics from Delta State university. I never liked the course. I didn't even like school in general. I did that four years to make my family proud. Been a graduate since 2016, and till this very minute I still don't think it was worth it or necessary, but hey! school no be scam. I was taught some other valuable life lessons through that means.
I've mostly been a single man until last year when I carried my family to Lagos with yams and goat and other things that they requested to seek the hand of my beautiful wife in marriage. So now, I'm married and just last week was my anniversary; 7th August precisely. Marriage has been such a beautiful journey and so far I've had to do a lot of learning, unlearning, and relearning to navigate through the hurdles that marriage has thrown my way.
That's all I can share for now, I hope that as I progress in the community a lot more about me will be revealed. Lately, I've been learning how to document myself through out a day, especially on days that I'm working. Those are what you'll get from me, and even more as well. I look forward to connecting with people in this community on this basis of friendship, work, and business parternships as well.
Lastly, I want to say kudos to everyone who has ensured and is still ensuring that this community thrives and is as a big as it is today. You all are amazing. Thank you my naija family.
