I got out to the garden early yesterday and got the various things picked. Just a few squash then a nice amount of cucumber with some tomatoes went to the house.
The entire point of the day was the truck. By 9am I was out working on it and had the motor back in the truck by 11.
I was trying to get it done earlier but there was no hurrying. The heat set in early and I was a sweating mess as I worked around the engine. I had been leaning over working on the bell housing bolts and when I stood up I felt a wave of sweat wash down my back... It was in the 90sF.
The air ratchet was SUPER handy! Holy balls did it make the exhaust nuts go on way easier!
It was a little before 4pm and I had everything put back and the fluids filled. I got the keys and after a healthy bit of prayer I turned the ignition and THE TRUCK STARTED RIGHT UP!!!!!
After a bit the check engine light popped on and so I grabbed my computer and pulled the codes.
P0011-"A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance P0352, 0345, & 0356 - Ignition Coil "B", "D", "F" Primary/Secondary Circuit
I let the truck run for a long time to let the engine work itself in while I tried to figure out the cause of the codes.
I moved all the shit out of the way and took the truck for a short drive up the road and back. It doesn't like the codes so I need to work on them today. I did pull the igniters and reseated them but didn't try to clear the codes yet.
I cleaned the rest of the tools and stuff up and hauled it to the shed but still need to put it all away. I was SOOOOO thrashed by this point. So hot and tired, sore beyond belief, and largely happy but not fully since the codes were rolling around in my head.
The truck too all my attention so I had not moved the young chickens out of the brooder which they REALLY needed. We all went over to the brooder and I was able to net the hen and dumped her outside where she went over to the moist dirt and instantly had a big dirt bath.
We left the young ones in until the coop door was shut.
Got a much needed soak after a mandatory shower.
Then I was out moving the birds to the coop. I reached in and grabbed a pair of them then "shooshed" them nice and quiet for the walk over. I tossed them in the window so they all spent the night in the main coop in hopes they will go back in there tonight.
Last day of summer break as school starts tomorrow. I will be trying to get the truck finished up and then put the tools away and maybe try and clean the shed a bit since it is a pure shit hole right now. Some clouds about and rain to the south but not looking like it will hit us.
