Camping locations in Takengon, Central Aceh (Indonesia), are increasingly diverse, with a variety of themes and scenic backdrops. The primary choice is the shores of Lake Lut Tawar.

There are numerous camping spots along the 70-square-kilometer lake. Each location offers a unique atmosphere. I've posted several in this CCH community and will continue to post about other locations I've visited and camped at.

This time, with a different sound, let's enjoy the natural surroundings at Temas River Park (Ground Camping Ground), located in Jurusen, Pegasing District, Central Aceh Regency. Several journalists, attending an oil and gas training program, and I participated in activities at Temas River Park.

The location is not too far from Takengon City, about 5.3 kilometers, or just an 11-minute drive. At first glance, it seems quite far from the city, but thanks to the lack of traffic, every tourist destination in Takengon can be reached quickly and smoothly.

Camping at Temas River Park offers visitors the accompaniment of the flowing Peusangan River. Visitors can fall asleep lulled by the soothing sound of flowing water, surpassing Mozart's music.

In addition to the sound of the river and the cool breeze of Tanoh Gayo, at Temas River Park, visitors are also accompanied by the sound of the sareng (a traditional musical instrument) or seset (a traditional musical instrument in the Gayo language).

Temas River Park is located close to the forest. Finding this location can be tricky, as it's hidden beneath the forest floor, with a steep descent, requiring caution when driving a car or motorcycle.

At Temas River Park, there are several camping spots available with tents provided by the management. The preferred option is, of course, the inner edge with its longer stretch of land. There are also several other spots where tents can be pitched.

Therefore, at Temas River Park and all other camping spots in Central Aceh, visitors don't need to bring their own tents. Typically, visitors only bring a small pillow and blanket because the temperature in Takengon is very cold for people living in hot areas like me in Lhokseumawe City.

Temas River Park also serves as a whitewater rafting route. Visitors can enjoy the excitement of those enjoying the whitewater rafting. Their screams, blending with the flowing water and the sounds of nature, create a harmony that will last forever.

There's an important message for visitors to Temas River Park: the responsibility to maintain a clean environment. Plastic waste from drinks and snacks must be disposed of in the trash bins provided.

Don't leave plastic waste lying around, let alone falling into the river. When we protect nature, nature will protect us. []
