Hey Bees! Today I've got another book review for you, this time for The Subtle Body: An Encyclopedia of Your Energetic Anatomy by Cyndi Dale.
This is another great reference type book that I find myself pulling out again and again. It gives you a good overview of several different systems and energy healing modalities. To give you an idea, here are the sections:
Part I: Energy and Energy Healing
(kind of a basic primer of the subject matter)
Part II: Human Anatomy
(human biology 101)
Part III: Energy Fields
(the auric field, morphological field, T-field, L-field, Universal field, geofields, and sacred geometry)
Part IV: Channels of Energy: Channels of Light
(the meridian system, acupuncture)
Part V: Energy Bodies: Chakras and Other "Light Switches"
(Chakras, Kundalini, and Kabbalah)
Part VI: Energy Practices
(a brief overview of several different practices)
There are so many great charts, diagrams, and illustrations in this book, and it's just packed with information overall about such a wide variety of practices, it's a great resource if you're curious about a modality and want to learn more, a refresher for one you've used before but want to brush up on, or a reference for things you use all the time. You can learn about traditions you've never encountered before in your culture, and compare similarities/differences with traditions you're familiar with (I love doing that, personally).
Basically it's a fab, encyclopedic reference for the energetic body and "alternative" healing traditions. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in such practices and wants to learn more.
Thanks for reading and be well, friends! :)
