Hello Hivers all around the world.
Have a brand new day to all. Today I want to share this quick and very easy recipe about anchovies.
Do you know what anchovies are?
Anchovies are also known as Bolinao fish. It offers numerous health benefits due to its high content of omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and various vitamins and minerals. These nutrients contribute a lot to improved heart and brain health, enhanced skin and hair quality, and better bone density and can help with weight management. Bolinao fish are also a good source of iron, calcium, potassium, and many more vitamins and minerals that are needed in our body. There are many recipes to make for bolinao fish/anchovies. We can have it (kinilaw na bulinaw), or anchovy ceviche with its spices (ginisang bulinaw), or the sauteed anchovies (tortang bolinao), or the anchovy omelette, for which I am going to share the procedures.
Let's dig in to the preparation and the procedure.
Prepare the ingredients.
1/2 kilo of anchovies 3 cloves of garlic (minced) 1 whole red onion (minced) 1 stick of spring onion 1 pack crispy fry/flour (coating) 2 large-size eggs (beaten) 1 tsp Patis flavored sauce SAUCE:
soy sauce (depends upon the quantity you prepare) vinegar 1 pc tomato (optional) 1 pc calamansi/lemonsito
PROCEDURE:
Wash and drain the anchovies, then season them with salt and pepper.
Combine the anchovies with the minced garlic and onion and beaten eggs. Mix in and add the crispy fry for crispiness. You can also use flour, but I prefer crispy fry to add some taste.
Heat oil in a pan, then pour in the mixture and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Serve the omelette hot with the sauce.
SAUCE PREPARATION:
- Mix the soy sauce and vinegar, then add the sliced tomato, little onion and calamansi.
Ready to serve, and let's dig in.
