Hi everyone! To all food bloggers here. This is my first time posting here about my recipe and I hope you will like it. I live nearby the sea so there's always fresh fish everyday and night. Usually fresh fishes are caught early in the morning but fishes so small like what I am featuring usually caught in the evening or early evening.
Thie small fish is locally named "dalwang". This is the second from the smallest fish this island can offer. Usually fish vendors roving around early 7pm and late 10 pm for fresh dalwang. It's more than two months since the last time I bought this one maybe because of the typhoon. First thing I do is to wash it many times. It should be many times to ensure it's clean and free from salt water.
The ingredients needed are:
Fish -1/2 kilo
Flour- 2 cups
Egg- 1 piece
Pepper- 1 teaspoon
Salt-1 teaspoon
Msg-1/2 teaspoon
Ginger - small amount
Onion-1 piece
Garlic -4 cloves
Cooking oil- 500 ml
The process of making this is very simple.
First just mix the spices on to the fish. Add the egg and lastly the flour and mix it together with bare hands to distribute the mixture with all the fishes. You can mix all the spices, flour and egg first before adding the fish but what I did is just the same. As long as where you are comfortable because the main goal is to coat the fish with it.
Then fry it on the hot oil with the right size. The smaller and thinner it be the more fast it will be cooked. When it's golden brown it is already cooked and then flip on the other side and also wait till golden and it's ready to serve.
This is the final look of the recipe. This is crispy fried dalwang locally and my kids live this recipe so much. This is also best paired with ketchup for kids and soy sauce and vinegar with lots of chili for adults.
Now get your rice and let's eat together.
