We tried the limited edition guayaba Oreo [ENG/ESP]

Hello everyone, a few days ago, while shopping with my mom and sister downtown, I stumbled upon the new limited-edition Oreo cookie flavor, which recently came onto the market: guava. I must say that ever since it was announced, my expectations were somewhat mixed, as I was thinking of either guava jam or the familiar sweet flavor, or a sweet flavor. The thing is, I couldn't get it that day because of the cost; however, I later decided to get it and bought the twelve-cookie package so I could try it. >Hola a todos, hace algunos días me topé haciendo unas compras con mi mamá y hermana por el centro con el nuevo sabor de galletas Oreo que salió recientemente al mercado y que es edición limitada, el cual es guayaba. Debo decir que desde que este fue anunciado, mis expectativas eran algo intermedias, ya que en mis pensamientos estaba o que fuera a sabor mermelada de guayaba o el dulce conocido, o que tuviera un sabor dulce. La cosa es que ese día no pude obtenerla por el costo; sin embargo, luego me impulsé a conseguirla y adquirí la presentación de doce galletas para poder degustar.     These Oreos cost $1.18, and I must say that after searching with my sister in various stores, only two here in San Juan carry them, and their prices vary a bit. Also, since I'm not a big consumer of these cookies, it was my first time buying this pack of twelve, so to a certain extent, I felt that excitement of trying new sweets or snacks, which I always love and which is what I enjoy most. >Estas Oreos tuvieron un costo de 1,18$ y debo decir que buscando con mi hermana en diversos locales, solo dos acá en San Juan las tienen y sus precios varían un poco. Así mismo, al no ser tan consumidora de estas galletas, era mi primera vez comprando este pack de doce, por lo que hasta cierto punto sentía esa emoción de probar dulces o snacks nuevos que siempre me encantan y que es lo que más disfruto hacer.    As for presentation, I found the packaging attractive; the color itself makes them easily detectable from a distance when searching for them in the market. They also indicate that they're high in sugar, so I was curious about the sweetness. >En cuanto a presentación, el empaque se me hizo lindo; de por sí el tono del mismo hace que sean detectables a distancia al momento de buscarlas en el mercado; así mismo marcan que son altas en azúcar, por lo que estaba con el tema del dulce.    Now, once home and after a power outage, it was time to taste it. As soon as I opened the package, a strong, intense smell of sweet guava wafted through, which already gave me an idea, as it reminded me of the guava juice my mom makes, which, when sugared, acquires that characteristic aroma. Even my sister commented the same thing and went to find my mother so she could smell the aroma too, so I almost automatically went for a good cup of coffee to drown the sweetness. >Ahora bien, una vez en casa y luego de un apagón de luz, fue momento de degustar. Al apenas abrir el empaque, un fuerte olor a guayaba dulce se hace presente y esto es muy intenso, por lo que ya me daba una idea, ya que me recordó a los jugos de guayaba que hace mi mamá y que al colocarles azúcar adquieren ese característico aroma. Incluso mi hermana comentó lo mismo y fue a buscar a mi madre para que percibiera el aroma también, por lo que casi en automático fui por una buena taza de café para poder pasar el dulzor.   Havingn't had Oreos in a while, my sister, my mom, and I were all excited. We put them on a small plate to make them look cute and proceeded with the tasting. I can say that the flavor is creamy, both in the cookie and the filling, but it's just as I thought: it's sweet and powerful, since it does taste like guava. But, more than anything, it's not the sweetness that many people think it is, or like a jam. Rather, it's like drinking natural juice, but very concentrated in addition to being sweet. Even the cookie has a higher sweetness than usual for Oreos. >Al tener tiempo sin comer Oreos, estábamos emocionadas, tanto mi hermana, mi mamá y yo; las pusimos en un platito para que se vieran coquetas y procedimos con la cata. Puedo decir que es sabor cremoso tanto en la galleta como en el relleno, pero es como pensaba: es dulce y potente, ya que sí sabe a guayaba, pero, más que todo, no llega a ser este dulce que muchos piensan o a una mermelada, sino que es como tomar un jugo natural, pero muy concentrado aparte de dulce; incluso la galleta tiene un dulzor más alto de lo habitual en las oreos.   They're certainly good to pair with a good cup of coffee; even my sister was tempted to look for guava juice to compare, but it was too frozen, so we were left with the different opinions of the three of us. My mother, on the other hand, agreed, saying it's a strong flavor, but since she likes sweet things, she didn't mind, and my sister was delighted with the flavor, since she also likes sweet things. For my part, I feel like it would be best to eat very slowly and slowly with the coffee with almost no sugar to counteract it, which is odd because I usually eat it with sweet things without any problems. >Sin duda, son buenas para acompañar con un buen café; incluso mi hermana estuvo tentada en buscar jugo de guayaba para comparar, pero estaba muy congelado, por lo que nos quedamos con las diversas opiniones de las tres. I ate it little by little, and without realizing it, I finished the remaining cookies. So I can easily buy them again, but to eat them very slowly and in small chunks, or for my uncles or grandma to try. However, for lovers of intense, sweet flavors, it's more than a good and highly recommended option. >Sin embargo, para cuando el cuerpo pide un dulce, pero no tanto, es una buena opción, ya que luego, con las que quedaban, pude probar el relleno solo y estaba bueno, y lo fui comiendo de a poco y, sin darme cuenta, acabé con las galletas restantes.
