Eating our hearts out with Korean street foods

1000016799.jpg Korean ramen has always been the key to my heart on good and bad days. There's something comforting about this mildly spicy noodle soup. I'm not a fan of too much spicy due to stomach issues, but a little spice would hurt. Our trick here is to only add half of the sauce from the pouch. 1000016794.jpg My sister and I bought a variety of dishes and decided to divide it into two. I think this is one of the advantage of eating with someone- you get to eat more variety with half the price. I ordered the ramen soup and kimbap while she ordered the dakuchi (chicken), seaweed wrap and teokboki.

According to the staff, their best seller is dakuchi, kimbap, and ramen. There are drinks too, but we opted to have water only. 1000016795.jpg 1000016796.jpg 1000016793.jpg For this evening, we really didn't plan to dine in Myeongdong Korean Street Food but our family informed us that they're going somewhere for the evening and no one is home to open the gates, so we decided to just eat our dinner in our go-to comfort restaurant.

I'm not sure though if this restaurant is truly authentic Korean foods because in the Philippines, Korean foods are quite famous and can easily be found anywhere, especially samgyupsal.

There are also Korean convenience store where you can buy and cook your own ramen and other instant meals. Like I always say, there's really nothing special in these Korean Marts but they are giving comfort and convenience. These are the places I'd go to at the end of a long day, or when I'm sad, having a period, or just simple craving instant noodles.

For dessert, we went to another mall to buy some ice cream since they only offer soft serve ice cream, which we're not a fan of.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

With love, Jane
