Feliz año amigos, que sea un año lleno de muchas cosas lindas, buenos proyectos y ricas recetas para compartir en esta maravillosa comunidad. Las tortas en año nuevo y navidad no pueden faltar en nuestra mesa para las cenas de noche buena y para mi la favorita es la de zanahoria en estas fechas, este año la quise hacer un poco más fuertesita en sabor y le agregué un toque de ron que le dio un sabor super especial y es lo que quiero compartir hoy con ustedes.
Happy New Year friends, may it be a year full of many beautiful things, good projects and delicious recipes to share in this wonderful community. Cakes at New Year's and Christmas cannot be missing on our table for Christmas Eve dinners and for me the favorite is the carrot cake on these dates, this year I wanted to make it a little stronger in flavor and I added a touch of rum that gave it a super special flavor and that is what I want to share with you today.

The night before the preparation I took about 150 grams of different nuts, cut them into small pieces, put them in an airtight container and added 150 ml of aged rum.---
The next morning I beat two (2) sugars with 1 and a half cup of oil and when they were well united and the sugar was not very palpable, I added the four eggs and beat well.---

Pasé luego a agregar harina de trigo leudante cernida, alternando con la zanahoria hasta completar las 3 tazas y media de harina y las dos tazas y media de zanahoria, le agregué una copita de ron, corté varias nueces y las agregué a la mezcla.
Then I added sifted leavened wheat flour, alternating with the carrot until completing the 3 and a half cups of flour and two and a half cups of carrot, I added a glass of rum, chopped several walnuts and added them to the mixture.---

Pasé a trabajar la tortera tipo volcán enmantequillando y enharinando y luego los frutos secos macerados en ron los coloqué en el fondo de la bandeja. Luego agregué la mezcla de la torta y llevé al horno.
I worked on the volcano type pan, buttered and floured it and then I put the rum macerated nuts in the bottom of the pan. Then I added the cake mixture and took it to the oven.---

Luego de una hora ya estuvo lista, esperé que enfriara a temperatura ambiente y desmoldé para luego agregar un poco de chocolate derretido y decorar con unos frutos secos.
After an hour it was ready, I waited for it to cool to room temperature and unmolded it, then I added some melted chocolate and decorated it with some nuts.---

Presentando una deliciosa torta de zanahoria con ron y frutos secos que fue la sensación en la mesa y luego de nuestra rica cena de fin de año con su gran sabor.
I presented a delicious carrot cake with rum and nuts that was the sensation at the table and after our delicious New Year's Eve dinner with its great taste.--- La torta de zanahoria es por si sola una delicia y la podemos combinar con diversos sabores y seguirá siendo una ricura, en este caso el ron y los frutos secos le aportaron ese sabor a navidad rico que a todos nos encantó. Carrot cake by itself is a delight and we can combine it with different flavors and it will continue to be delicious, in this case the rum and nuts gave it that rich Christmas flavor that we all loved.
