My passion for technology education
Five days a week are part of my work routine teaching technology to elementary school students. It has been almost 19 years in this journey that I have enjoyed to the fullest and I know that I have left my mark on each of the children that I receive on a daily basis.
Cinco días de la semana forman parte de mi rutina de trabajo impartiendo tecnología a los estudiantes de educación básica. Ya son casi 19 años en este recorrido que he disfrutado al máximo y se que he dejado huellas en cada uno de los niños que recibo a diario.
Free technologies are the ones that during this time I have been able to teach my students, through educational applications such as gcompris, tuxpaint, tuxmatch, educational software, learning activities. All with the purpose of integrating technology with the learning areas.
Las tecnologías libres son las que durante este tiempo he podido enseñar a mis estudiantes, a través de aplicaciones educativas como gcompris, tuxpaint, tuxmatch, software educativos, actividades de aprendizaje. Todo con el propósito de realizar la integración de la tecnología con las áreas de aprendizaje.
Currently I have fewer resources to teach technology, but that is not a limitation to be able to offer children a different learning experience. At the moment I only have a laptop and video beam, which allow me to give workshops and show audiovisual material to reinforce the learning areas. During this short week I was able to teach through videos, recycling, its history and its importance to the environment. We always look for reflection and usefulness of the topics covered.
En la actualidad cuento con menos recursos para enseñar tecnología, pero eso no es una limitante para poder ofrecer a los niños un aprendizaje diferente. Por los momentos solo cuento con una laptop y video beam, que me permiten dar talleres, y mostrar material audiovisual para reforzar las áreas de aprendizaje. Durante esta semana que fue corta pude enseñar a través de videos, el reciclaje, su historia y su importancia con el medio ambiente. Siempre se busca la reflexión y utilidad de los temas tratados.

Precisamente hoy, fue un día de poder mostrar las bellezas turísticas del estado Aragua, Venezuela. A pesar de que los estudiantes realizaron exposiciones de los diferentes estados de Venezuela. Era necesario usar el recurso tecnológico y conocer a más profundidad el estado dónde residen. Los niños cada vez que entran al espacio tecnológico es notorio ver la alegría de ellos de ver un contenido con tecnología.

I believe that technology plays a very important role in these times, where our children, being digital natives, love to be taught with the use of technology. I really enjoy when I can receive each group in my space. Despite the circumstances I continue to give the best of me.
Considero que la tecnología juega un papel muy importante en estos tiempos, donde nuestros niños por ser nativos digitales les encanta que se les enseñe con el uso de tecnologías. La verdad disfruto mucho cuando puedo recibir a cada grupo en mi espacio. A pesar de las circunstancias sigo dando lo mejor de mi.
