Hello, Hiveans. This is me Cintilla. Today I'd want to share with you all my academic successes that defined me as a student. Join me as I reflect on these remarkable or unforgettable experiences and lessons. As a college student involves more than just completing the examinations and submitting papers. School is also a place where we i can learn and grow from my own experiences, difficulties, and opportunities. Every contest, sport, or activity contributes to my own story and it defines who i am. Throughout my time at Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges my alma school. I've always participated in many different kinds of events that tested not only my skills, but also my courage, creativity, and teamwork. Some of these were enjoyable and so exhilarating, while others were extremely tough and required me to give my all best. But from each event, I learnt many things that were far more valuable than any medals or prizes. This blog is a reflection of those achievements i have. ![Screenshot_20250919_093106_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/245mxnfCpQkFLCv9MUoAphDyhD34LG9ncedzp1CkbLxi55kHLLSrgNR7dYw8oWUVTsrUs.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_093235_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23xVRXXcuFJcBZSB4GqLQh3VJdSVVMwHzwdBVaqWHs2wdy7p6tnXJ34X1uzvoZPEi7zzf.jpg) The Fire Prevention Month was one of the most unforgettable competition i joined in. At first, I was so excited because I thought I would finally try using the long fire hose, just like real firefighters. But when I joined, I discovered that the event was not just about the hose it was about learning discipline, teamwork, and aslo the responsibility in times of fire emergencies. One of the activities we joined was the bucket relay. It looks simple, but it is actually very challenging. Because you need to balance, speed, and coordination to pass the water from bucket to bucket without spilling too much. After classes, we trained hardly in the fire station area. It was so hungry and tiring, but I enjoyed it because it was only an 8-minutes walk from my house. The firefighters were very supportive and even gave us snacks, which made the training more fun and memorable. When the competition day came, all departments of CRMC and private schools in Bogo City gathered. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and nervousness. Every group gave their best. Our team pushed ourselves and worked together until the end. Finally, we won 3rd place in the bucket relay. Holding the trophy in our hands felt so proud , not just because of the award but because of what we went through together. This experience taught me that fire prevention is more than just using equipment. It is about being prepared, being united, and acting quickly when danger comes. The knowledge and friendships I gained were more valuable than the trophy. Fire Prevention Month became a memorable moments to me and I will always treasure those because it gave me lessons I can use in school, at home, and in real life. ![Screenshot_20250919_093804_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23xpCr8vHwXCFntYBdvvDpMpTqsYQaXRfSTrZ5irsuS1YKNDUfN3ZEGCNd3gwKUmjTS56.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_093829_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23x1B2bRz8wCXBEaXmoak1cJfBCDJscnLgR3jdBsgbT61ujnLNEaZBaW9fEPXqefvuGja.jpg) This event was the English Festival the one of the highlights of the school year. Every department had a chance to show their own talents through different contests, and I was chosen as the representative to draw lots. By chance, I picked the Literary Teaser, and mimicking the little red riding hood. Little did I know that this draw would lead to one of my most unforgettable achievements. We decided to mimic the story of The Little Red Riding Hood. At first, Ate Narel suggested that I should play the main character. She even teased that I might become the “Best Actress.” But honestly, I was nervous and unsure if I could handle the role. I didn’t want to disappoint the group, so I gave the lead part to her since she knew the story better. Instead, I played a villager, whose role was mostly to dance throughout the performance. Even though I was not the main character, I gave my best. My simple role added energy to the presentation. We didn’t have much time to practice and prepare because of research projects and other activities, but when the competition day came, we performed very well with confidence. To our surprise, we won the 3rd place! That moment was so happy. It showed me that no matter how small your role is, you can still part to contribute the success of the group. The English Festival taught me the value of teamwork, trust, and doing your best in whatever part you are given. ![Screenshot_20250919_094407_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23tbo36dEtEm5cEUFJCtnRkJeuxjvNNHrUDptEcUZSKvc5NZuUyVBaDcrAKFJpFrXmrEp.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_094321_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/242rwKXkZ9YZe8vnXVRgQz9MD8LUxcVvS7KhAVe2EUBYx7JedAmBft5c3TtzDiBj3zwUu.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_094340_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/2432N4M5NVVgs3dU5npVo4mbHHwrz2s6uRwTUUerYSKJj4devC6vfvfZqoBaQykvaqs4L.jpg) CRMC's Founder's Day is typically a big event and exciting . Gaya-Gaya Performance was my favourite event. Groups competed by imitating well-known performers. It wasn't easy to prepare for this competition, so our group chose to sing Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, and Jessie J's Bang Bang. To ensure that every gesture, facial expression, and rhythm matched the original performance, we practiced for hours on end. We decided to plan a creative approach to stand out so, all of the gay people in our group would imitate. Those unique idea caught everyone’s attention and made our performance extra entertaining. When the event came, the excitement was so overflowing. The stage lights, the crowd’s cheers, and the pressure to perform well all came together. We gave it everything , our best so that we had our confidence, energy, and creativity. The audience loved it so much, and the judges were so impressed. Finally, our efforts paid off we were declared the Champion of the Gaya-Gaya contest that night! Winning the trophy was such a proudest moment. But more than the award, because i truly valued the bonding with my teammates and the confidence I gained. It was a reminder that hard work and passion always shine through. ![Screenshot_20250919_094552_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/48QuhPxEhQmLAMBsH5bst9ba756xKJMXccMpsupuHrJuugTFaFW6YczmfAfbehSoy3.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_094525_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23uFThB71Nir45aJVHhQptp9GYN4tzhdovnWo54x2pZWpVau6F52wNqXcoGAjJY5X7TKS.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_094458_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23wgKh4KKk5HRCwLTaKn1XuYMHETmmobarFi3xJPw5z584H1frL84XMwtEv7KGWXYfUES.jpg) On the second day of our Founder’s Day, I joined the Sculpture Making Contest with a group of four members. Unlike other contests where we had more time, this one was very challenging because we only practiced once. With so little preparations, small equipments and we knew we had to give our all on the day itself. So, we create an idea that represented the heritage of CRMC. We wanted it to show that not only creativity but also the pride in our alma mater school. To make it more meaningful, we included the logos of each departments in the design, because it symbolizing unity and collaboration among all the students. When the contest began, we worked carefully but quickly beacuse its only 2 hourse to work. We focused on moulding every element and ensuring that the sculpture . Despite the pressure, everything went together smoothly. After we finished, we also boldly explained our work to the all judges, who understood the importance of our sculpture. Our team won the sculpture-making contest! It was so happy for being the winner, especially given how little time we had to practise. This achievement demonstrates that success does not always need much time preparation; it may also need the creative thinking, teamwork, and determination inside ourselves. ![Screenshot_20250919_094642_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23xAiD2DwcwBJKA9ZiHBjHvRVPVdw52ULCDJ1FzwJdqx4i9eQgq7yAQu6r5CU5CfxEabN.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_094708_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23xxxydpxAERBYzH69Kjiz8LyegEj3Lg9DQa5fRf64RmBZT7bDh9wa8Ukuf2kE2C1FYmN.jpg) The Cultural Dance Competition on the second night of Founder’s Day was another my unforgettable experiences. Thee department perform the Ragsaksakan dance of the Cordillera people. It was not only a performance but also a way of learning and appreciating our Philippine culture. For me as a member the biggest challenge was the balancing baskets on our heads while dancing and performing on it. At first, it was really hard because it gave me a stiff neck, and I was afraid the basket would fall and also to my teammates. But through our practice, patience, and focuses, we were able to perform the whole dance smoothly. On the stage, not a single basket fell, and that clean performance earned us compliments from tthe many students and also our each instructor's. After the performances the crowd’s d’s cheers made the moment even more special for us. Everyone appreciated the effort we put into that showcasing the culture. In the end, our group proudly won 3rd place in the competition. This achievement was more than just about winning a trophy. It was about respecting and celebrating the culture of the people who lived in Cordillera. I've realized how important it is to honor other traditions and share them with others people. The dance taught me to alwasys have a self-discipline, balance, and appreciation for our nature. It always reminded me that learning goes beyond classrooms it also happens when we step into the of others and embrace their own heritage. ![Screenshot_20250919_093714_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23yToa91v3zz9uMc6tRxMvmdTunQCkzKVHdRJ9DwnMRRGaxX62eM958tLgu5QawF7W9Rn.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_093648_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23u65Kcs5cjAicodGCvyWNrxndj11qpAcrDQ8ENpoLkeXMsc5EzqcktRt4k5Wc3AHprxM.jpg) ![Screenshot_20250919_093529_Gallery.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cintilla/23vsQCpnZ2N1CZWj7Bkn2f1Qwty1nR6k66XQXxEFCmGrgGQANFj2ZwbFAab6UwiPPyfpR.jpg) Sportsfest is always an exciting time in school, and one of my proudest moments was joining the Girls’ Basketball Team of the Psychology Department. I have loved basketball since I was young. Growing up, I often played in our backyard with the boys. People would sometimes call me “boyish,” but I never let that affect me because I know I am still a girl who simply loves the game. Preparing for Sportsfest was not easy. During those days We always practiced many long hours and sometimes went home past midnight. It was so very tiring and hungry but our determination kept us going. Beccause we wanted to make our department proud for us. When the games began, the competition was tough. Every department gave also their best. But we played used with heart, teamwork, and courage. Every shot, pass, and defense mattered. After several matches, our team secured Top 3 overall and proudly received the Bronze Medal. Even though we didn't become champions, but the victory of other's felt just as sweet. It was not only about the medal it was about the bonding, the sacrifices, and also the joy of representing Psychology Department. I will always treasure this memory because it showed me that with dedication, even challenges can turn into victories Looking back all of my experiences, I realize that my school life has been more than just academic learning. Every event I joined in whether in sports, arts, culture, or training helped me to discover my own strengths and taught me the value of teamwork, perseverance, and courage. All of the trophies and medals I've received were so meaningful but not the purppose because what truly matters are the lessons i learn. As a student, I am very proud of my achievements, but I know this is only the beginning. Every challenge that ahead, I will carry all of these experiences as reminders to me that success isn't just about winning it’s about becoming a stronger, wiser, and ready for my real life challenges.
